Great early season (is it still considered early season with this much snow?) stoke in here!
Foggy as shit right now here in the NEK with the temp hovering around 40. At least it isn't windy which would be worse for the snow pack. This is going to compact into a great base that will hopefully stick around for the rest of the winter.Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Must still be early season here. I was all excited to carve up some hero groomers this morning (and take a soup pic) and discovered Jiminy is closed the entire week. Only open on weekends. BS I say.

Don’t mind me...just a little salty about the Birds.
Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsIt makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

For real! Keep us updated from time to time. I've looked at those mountains a million times from across the lake but never found the motivation to get serious enough about a trip.
Is this Whiteface? Looks a little more remote to me

17` and 5/8" of fluff bob. Heavy non supportive, to foot traffic, crust that would be good for exploring. 10 day looks weak for refresh.

I think we ski a lot of the same places. Tried this one Last Sunday and turned around. So much ice and snow flying of the trees I thought I was going to get knocked out.
Bolton didn't suck tonight. 4" of fluff on bulletproof.

Solo jaunt to Stowe today so no pix. Snow was good over most of the mtn except the upper part of Nosedive which was a hockey rink. Been that way since I first skied it in 1975. I was just ripping groomer laps when Bushwacker sent me a note: Nosedive Woods. Go there. So I did. It was fat with snow and lots of fluff on top of a crusty but not icy base. Hayride was a hoot with lots of fluff in the troughs. 10 mostly non-stop laps in about 3 hours and I was cooked. Twas better than working...

Not sure who's paying attention, but certain areas have been quietly piling up since the warm up and if the clipper delivers even just a few inches areas that have remained unmolested over the last week could be deep. https://jaypeakresort.com/resort/photo-day

^^^ true, but what has fallen is pretty light water content since the thaw. (Picky rant) It’s going to need a pretty substantial dump in order to not feel the base. The upside the base is solid, and a few ledgey shark filled lines may play nice this year.
Given the past two years, pretty sure this is the best use of tax money.
