It's been a while since I've posted in here. Glad to see the stoke is still strong. Here's a look back at the JMO extended family year of 2018. Hope you all enjoy.

You must be responding to another thread. This is the thread discussing ski town economics with a bit of spirited name calling thrown in. Stoke will come when we get another nice storm.

Would anyone like to hear my thoughts about the impact of Act 46 in Vermont? Anyone? If not, do we want to talk about guns? That would be fun too.

    NE Roll Call 18/19

New trail at the touring center in town was really enjoyable yesterday.

Props to mountain ops all over the northeast for making slopes skiable, given the conditions.

With temps wavering between 7`-8` and 1 1/4" of new snow overnight it is shaping up to be a great ski day bob before the next "reset".

Vermont can not wriggle it's way out of our economic woes alone. It's tied into the Federal System and the Global system of production and consumption. It's fun to watch that fall apart as Donnie's Ego and the Corporate Fuckery that corn-holes the rest of the "social-political elite" devour each other.

Vote how ya want. It won't matter. Where your money goes, where it comes from....that's what important. It's the only voice we have. Sadly, with the stock market manipulation, electronic trading, and the consolidation of wealth being what it is....even if the entire state of Vermont joined the BDS movement it would amount to a fart in the wind.

Watching the system start to burn shines some light in the direction of more localized and therefore sustainable versions of daily life.

Brilliant sun, just enough fluff for the lowest of angles to ski soft and quiet. Long, flat fields for the win!

The press release doesn't make it clear whether skiers were in the gondolas at the hit zone, But being holiday wk I assume so, right?

Apparently there were some people in a car in the “hit zone”. That’s why probably you see the gondola moving again in the video. They were trying to get the gondola with the people in it away from the deluge. In order to do that, they had to send one of the empty down hill gondolas through the stream. That’s the one seen flopping around in the spray.
