Great day for the end of my season. A great cast of characters showed up: Peruvian, Goniff, VT-F, Train, Buckethead, GuyInShorts, Mr. Moose, Mrs. G, Fussy D, iriponsnow, ScottSkis, and a first-time meetup with JaBr. A couple of notable absentees: missing in action were Buttah and Biggins. Many great beers were shared and we went bell to bell - which is highly unusual for me. 1st hour was a complete shitshow but many folk did 1 run to get the t-shirt and then retired.
Huge props to the K-zone crowd for hosting another great Spring season. They always staked out the prime party location and were always very generous with the incredible food they grilled. Many of those dudes and dudettes really rip too.
Wish I could unsee it but I can't. The King of Spring is worse IRL than on the Killington videos.
Bumps took a while to build. Hannah and the Hammer were there early but had to wait until late in the day to make us all look bad.

Looks like I missed a good one, fuck me. Anyhoo, I’m heading over shortly, if even to just make a couple of June laps and say goodbye to the Kcrew.

Fantastic day indeed and great crew! I missed the opening mayhem but somehow managed to get a spot right next to the beach party setup at 10:45. Good to meet/hang with Train, Scott, GIS among others and always great catching up with Bucket. Better communication next time powbmps, bummed to miss you and Jr.
Not as crowded as I expected, shot of mniaw, Peruvian and vtf with wide open lines to choose from.

NE Roll Call 18/19
Had a great June shred day up at MSS yesterday. Got there around 9:15 and was ski on ski off with mtlripper until about 1:30 when the line ups started. Both runs were skiing great and way chill vibe for a sunny Saturday. Not a cloud in the sky. Was great running into Madpat and doing a few laps! Headed over to the Saint Sau skate park when the crowds picked up.
Here's to a great season! Didn't meet enough mags IRL again, but really dug sharing of stoke w you all!27° 18°

Well, it clearly wasn't a buyout. Never want to see a business go out but if you can't consistently brew very good beer in this state you are in for a tough climb.

Vt-F, many thanks for the voucher hookup.
The first few runs on Saturday were pretty damn good, aside from the cluster up top as people did their best to remove the minimal snow on the headwall breakover by turning where they shouldn't have, after which it got into the "a bit silly" category to try to ski top-to-bottom. The wife lost interest at that point (something about not being a fan of downhiking, which is hard to argue with), so I took a few more runs while she waited and we ended up skedaddling a lot earlier than I had originally hoped...but given that my back and legs are still feeling it two days later, probably best that I didn't try to ski a lot longer.
The opening bell shitshow was truly impressive, especially with the half-hour delay thrown in. Anyone hear the why on that?
I think that's it for my East Coast ski season. We've got a South American trip planned this summer, so I can get July (and August) turns without getting too silly.

Glad you had fun and the vouchers got used. Delay was due to a winch cable break and having to move another winch cat to finish the groom.
My Friend Michael called to say he was surprised to see me in an article on Mass Live this morning.

Last look at 11 today when I pulled out, two skiers coming down the upper section seemed right to me.
Peruvian presented GuyinShorts a Freeride Systems hoodie for being the Mayor of Killington and melding the villages of K-Zone and TGR into one community. Well deserved!

Looking for a cup I found this odd blue guy and a rubber glove in RustyKs' box of items.

So glad I met GIS a few years ago at K. Partying and skiing with him over the past 2 months and all you other kooks that come to K late season are why April and May are my favorite months of the year.
Here's my "final weekend of the season" edit.
