Weagle is some sort of genius. How many completely different suspension designs has he managed to sell to bike companies? Yeah, I know they all seem to work well and they all have their own fanboys, but all his different designs, as well as other designs that work just as well, kinda makes me think just tinkering around current suspension concepts with a bit of trial and error can deliver something that works well yet is just different enough that it can be licensed. And I'm sure there are more than a few dentists reaching for their wallets right now without even knowing what the product is yet.

This is the second new Weagle design this year, Esker has already been on the market for a little bit now. https://eskercycles.com/pages/elkat

I'm keeping an eye on this. My old DW link 2006 Iron Horse Azure is still on one of the best pedaling bikes I've ever ridden.

Maybe they could create a modern geometry trail bike and call it "Sultan."
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

There's $$$ graffitied on the plywood behind them, if that's any indication.

Sounds like an E Bike Company is coming from the big wheels of the industry.

Spent a week on one. Review to come, but it's somewhat reminiscent of the previous generation Bronson. Which isn't a bad thing. The Esker isn't mind blowing in any particular category, but I had a good time on it. Solid all around longish travel trail bike.

Someone accidentally posted a pic (that was taken down). It is a linkage fork, 130mm, $2700.

I'm surprised they didn't do a 25mm new hub standard, like an old Maverick. (Which was 24mm...this would be one more mm!)

Their business model appeals to me (kinda like GG), but I'd like to try one in 29". If it matters to anyone, I asked the folks at Esker and was told the 29" version should be out mid-next year. Also, they were super responsive and answered e-mails within a day or two.

I really like that you can pretty much order the bike ala carte. You can upgrade or downgrade most of the parts on the bike. Makes it easier to put your money where it matters.

Edit: although I'm disappointed in esker's lack of linkage fork upgrade options.

    Pretty funny, W42 nailed it.

Pinkbike liked the Structure they rode. I think they're right that it's too different to succeed, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad idea. The price tag does, though.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

A bike is something to hang components on. These days, most “frame” companies are making completely solid high functioning rigs. You want a nice bike? Get a frame and put nice stuff on it.
