Today, these started showing up on U of MT campus:

Facebook was not exactly amused...lots of shit went down, and eventually, Snowbowl posts this:

Yeah I was thinking "Mad River- Ski It If It Snows," although I guess we are talking about real ads- this one may be in the same category as the Snowbowl ad

I think it's hilarious. Sheesh. Does ANYBODY still have a sense of humor? Getting tired of the internet outrage culture and the consequential faux apologies. Snowbowl's only mistake was apologizing for the ad. People need to lighten up for reals.

Honest question: What makes you feel that it was a good ad for a ski area?

Like I said above, in other contexts it is funny. AC would definitely find it funny. But as an ad for a ski area it makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Also agree with DTM, it seems like one of those dumb text pictures that make people feel better about themselves. Barely amusing but maybe my humor sucks.

My guess: This was assigned to some junior graphic designer who spent his whole time fapping to "Fit Chicks" Tumblr sites. An hour before the deadline and gripped by panicked cold sweats one of the earlier versions appeared in a post and he decided "Fuck it, this'll do." Did a quick re-edit, slapped the Snowbowl stuff on it and sent it off. Supervisor said, "Ooh yeah, this is edgy, run it."
