Not ski touring (CND rockies), not for staff/patrol only (silverton), but for paid ticket/pass holders?
any guesses?
I'm thinking someone in Co. ? Loveland? A-basin?

Wolf Creek
Mammoth is scheduled to open Nov. 8, and they usually do, if only on man made snow. Should the real stuff fall, they will open earlier.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot
A-basin is looking for an October opening. Looks likely.
Wolf Creek says they are gonna spin their beginner chair this weekend

Any guesses on loveland? Are they usually trying for early opening or more just wait (I have a loveland pass, mostly for reciprocal deals, but if I"m mnt biking in Fruita anyways

Abasin. Bud sent me pictures of the ridge over Breck, and that looks skiable with a hike.
Abasin or Loveland as has been said. As long as the temps stay favorable for snow making and we keep getting help with the natural snow, I can see them getting the WROD ready in the next couple weeks.

^^^ Um, Wolf Creek is opening in 3 days. Unless A Basin or Loveland can pull off opening tomorrow or Friday, Wolf Creek wins. With natural snow, I might add. I've gotten some nice turns off Treasure in October in the past. I'm kind of tempted.
Should've read up more, didn't see the post already about Wolf Creek. Nice!

These threads are fun, but it should only count if they're able to STAY open. Throwing down a week on a WROD that melts and is closed again in two weeks shouldn't count. Really though, isn't Hood almost ALWAYS open??
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
Wolf Creek.
Then Abasin.
Then Loveland.
All within the next 14 days.

not sure why people keep making guesses about their home mountain opening first in November. Wolf Creek is opening in the morning.
