Of course. But I think a lot of people might guess that, while Portland kind of surprises people.

I think tonight is going to be a close one. If you told me the winner of tonight's game will win the series, I'd probably agree. Not that the Warriors would be done down 2-0 (you could say Toronto held serve at home and KD is coming back) but it's never a good position to be in. Meanwhile if the Warriors win, they go back home tied 1-1 with momentum and the pressure is back on Toronto. Oracle is going to be LOUD these last few games with the crowd knowing it's over after this.

I think a lot of people would think that anything in Canada in more north than anything in the US, counting Alaska. Maybe not most of the minds here that have actually read a book, but murica.

We will see how GS adjusts to Raps adjustment. I just don't want to see more of Steph guarding Gasol, though it was sometimes good for a laugh. That jump ball...

Definitely think it will be close. Raps adjust to get Kawhi better looks and try to take advantage of the double team, Warriors adjust to rotate better on defense and get Draymond more good shots.

Edit: probably see less Curry on Gasol, more Vanvleet on Curry, and Warriors try to make Raps pay for putting Lowry on Iguodala.

Also, since we've been talking about Drake so much- just a second to recognize another Raptor's fan, Nav Bhatia. The man has been to every single Raptors home game ever.
    It sucks to suck.

I've sat on the second row next to the visitors bench a few times and watched him interact with players and fans. He's well liked and respected.
I think he's super smart because he stands out and this has only helped his already successfully dealership flourish even more. Kudos to him.
    Love seeing new Canadians succeed.

    NBA 2018/2019 thread

Gasol is on the verge of setting the world record for moving screens in a half... holy shit.

Warriors need to shoot better but good god.

You can't be serious. Warriors have built their entire dynasty off of moving screens and right now the refs are what's keeping them in this game. With 5 minutes to go in the 2nd Klay was the only Warrior scorer who had more pts from the field than the line.
    It sucks to suck.

    NBA 2018/2019 thread

    Troll comment. Seriously re-read that.

Ha! And they just called Gasol for a moving screen! Finally....

FWIW, my buddy who is a lakers fan and hates the Warriors has been blowing up my phone with Gasol comments tonight.

And they just called it on Gasol again!! Lol.

All I'm saying is he isn't doing it anymore than Draymond or Iggy. He definitely deserved that first one, but that second one was a slight lean that somehow caused Curry to jump 3 feet in the air...?

Just pointing out the irony of a Warriors fan complaining about refs in a game that has been so heavily called in the W's favor.
    It sucks to suck.

Dubs currently have 19 fouls and Raps 17...(2:40 in 3rd)

Last game Nick Nurse said fouls were OK if they ran Dubs off 3-point line. After 3, Dubs 10/24 from 3. Letís see what happens

Yeah, 3rd Quarter was pretty even and officiating was better for sure. That and Kawhi fighting through double teams (he has 10 of the Rap's 16 FTs) has evened up the stats.

Halfway through the 2nd when we were talking about it, Warriors had shot twice the FTs Toronto had. Around the end of the First, when TahoeJ was complaining, the warriors had shot nearly 3x the FTs and were on track to shoot 50+.

Also, I'm glad someone is calling out Steph's offensive fouls.
    It sucks to suck.

Your time line is nonsense. I posted with like 2-3 mins left in the half.

So, officiating was better but Dubs won 3rd by 13. OK...

It might be off by a little but the point is it was before half when the Warriors were living at the line. This thread gets high-jacked with ref complaints every time the Warriors lose or are losing. Someone has to put up an alternative viewpoint.

Yeah. They played a great quarter. They shot well and rotated better on defense. I don't understand what your issue is with that insight.

We get people are sick of the Warriors.

And, you read carefully, frequently the complaints are that the refs call too many fouls and it fucks up the entertainment value of the game, not that theyíre tilted against the Warriors

    5:25 in 4th 21/20 Dubs/Raps fouls

41 fouls in 43 minutes. Does that work for anyone?

I get how you could interpret my first comment that way. I should've worded it better. I don't think that one bit, but they do make a lot of them and it's pretty commonplace in the NBA.

To 54-46 I completely agree with you on the total numbers. I wasn't referring to those complaints.

Sounds like Klay isn't hurt too bad and will be back for Game 3.
    It sucks to suck.
