the traverse feels airy. decent snow, all things considered. firm and attention-getting up high and corn to variable on the exit. NAEFS plumes for the next few days don't look too shabby either

    Nice!

If anyone is going to be out in the LCC environs this weekend and would like some company, give a shout. My last day out there included the Superior summit, skiing Cardiac and working our way across Cardiff/Mill D South, ultimately gaining the ridge to ski Mineral Fork, then to the shuttle car on BCC road. While I’m always the old guy bringing up the rear of the skin track, I’m a willing, and pretty capable, partner....

What was your exit if you don't mind me asking? Down the road to the campground? Is the lower road even opened yet?
Hey dude, I just shot over an PM. Much easier than I expected about an hour of hiking with ski ons the pack before and after you ski north basin. Plan on creek crossings.

6-8” of dense snow made for nice surfy turns. snowed all morning, and saw more drifting than expected. squeezed in three laps in grizzly and only saw two people in the distance on the exit. good times and more on the way.

Tons of people out and about today, felt like the start of the season again with random skintracks everywhere and stoked riders popping up from behind every tree!
The base got soaked and refroze enough to be supportive and the 8" or so of dense pow rode really well. Anything that saw a lick of sun got cooked really fast and greenhousing was in full effect around noon. The S faces are going to be interesting in the next few days.

    Only one shot from Mayuary:

Longest line I’ve ever seen at Peruvian this morning. It paid to have used the free Cliff Lodge room last night, a 7:20 line joinage got us about a dozen chairs back.

I saw some pretty long lines from the morning at Snowbird (fortunately or unfortunately on the web cam! the skiing looked good from NH). One resort open+One Chair+May Powder = CRAZY lines in the AM
