Apres Christmas with an impromptu South Face. 10" of 5%. quite the lunch break.
Day off into a Two Dogs
Up to the Hallway
Tube, old mining claim, up the powerline for 2/2 South Face.
Another party of three showed up on our tails as we approached the East side of Little Superior. Lead guy in other crew asked if he could fix my tail clip. It doesn't exist but I appreciate the consideration. I asked if they were booting over or skinning around the north side. He said he had to ask his friends. My crew continued one at a time around the north side. HS55 cms. I turned around and they were on my tails. I asked for some space. They opted out.
We got to the saddle to transition to booting. They switched behind us. Lead homie from my crew was kicking in the booter. Third homie from my crew was up there for his first time. He was close behind me. He asked lead homie from the other crew for some space or if he'd rather sniff his farts.
"It's Superior, bro. Not the Hillary Step. It's not even that hard."
"Have some backcountry etiquette, move over if someone is trying to pass."
Sorry, Homie, but there isn't much of a passing lane on the East Ridge.
There were some apologies and it loosened up by the top.
I skied Turkey to the East and the W to the West, so why not pick down the shark tank in the middle?
Traversed to Country Lane and skied it out from there.
Today's word of the day: Delectable.
Big red snake. We walked up the road at 3:15 and people were already getting out of their cars.
P Dog was empty, though.
Another day off? How lucky are we?!
Late start on Collins to a beautiful shot of Point Supreme, albeit missing a skier.
Up to Wolverie Bowl.
FKNA we like it here.
Homie didn't rig to flip and lost his helmet along the way. He went to work and I went to Alf's for a cheezeburger and to go back and look.
Saw some skinners going slightly of trail right to the point where the branches were grabbing my bag. Up the fall line was the obvious tomahawk from a helmet-goggle combo.
I chased uphill a bit farther and saw ASP on periph patrol with the helmet. Thanks for the snag. Back down the shoulder and into resort gear to harass some Pro Bro's.
Got a little too excited. 6+ weeks. Thanks to Dr. Ken and the clinic babes. Keep the stoke alive, y'all.
Lastly, don't quote this for scrollbombing purposes.

tBatt, sorry about the wing. Your stoke, energy, photos, and amount of ground covered in a day has been inspiring.
Glad its just a simple wrist fx?

Another day of an incoming storm, no light on in the morning and the light on at 2:30 or so. Why the fuck do they let all the 2wds up the canyon in the morning when they know the gurge is incoming?
Not that it was bad when I headed down BCC at 3, but it still pisses me off when they do this.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS, AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 18-19
Upper Days was great, hallway was a wind jacked mess, especially the bottom and George’s has an awful lot of tracks on it. Hopefully that’s all reset tonight.

Just got down the lcc shit show. I'm now convinced that the new road surface is causing major havoc. Way to slippery for the snow that fell. Good car with GOOD TIRES, and it's not a problem. But that's not what everyone has. Saw trucks, SUVs and all types of awd cars slipping. Udot plow drivers were warning of this after the first storm in September. But that surface is fucked. Be careful and patient. I have a feeling this winter in lcc is going to be an unbelievable shit show. Just wait until it's snowing 2 inches an hour.
Maybe they should drive plow trucks up and down it in high pressure to rough it up.

Anyone else see the UTA van full of employees that was RWD no chains and could barely get out of the gmd or up the bypass hills? They had to getout and stand on the rear bumper to get up the hills. If even a UTA van can't follow the rules...

With 12" overnight it will be a shit show. Only saving grace may be with the fire works tonight there wont be as many cars heading down late afternoon and new years revelers will leave early.

So tell me jtran since we have a history. Since im not there to witness. Is this situation really getting even worse? Sure sounds like it. I mean it is the holidays and some fresh snow, but still. 2 hours in pdog and still waiting? That's insane.
