So apparently, Alta skiers at solitude are now placing their skis in the front of the lift line and going inside into the lodge. Gotta get first chair on moonbeam...

F that. Its started happening at Snowbird this year too. I may or may not have encouraged moving them towards the back of the line a few times.

Did they look like this? And was there an old timer on a monoboard bitching them all out when they sauntered back to the line?

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I think I saw about a dozen tow trucks coming up BCC while I was going down around 1pm. Cops were taking no shit today.

Not quite, it was just two skiers. Honestly, it was funny more than anything, with them thinking they would get away with it. They placed their skis right at the lift line so that they had bypassed the ticket scanners. I hear they just got pushed to the side and our of the line completely.

Otherwise, soli, while crowded was pretty on point today. Several great untracked runs in honeycomb. Only thing that would have made it better was evergreen opening.

Definitely on point, and honeycomb was as good as it gets. Hope whoever had the heli evac at noon is OK. Havent seen that many cars of the road ever, looked like the brighton/solitude cars linked up & it went all the way down past silver fork lodge. crazy

Weird day crowdwise. The road was a total and complete clusterfuck. Worst I’ve seen it since mlk day, but it was pretty much ski straight on the lift all day. The longest line I waited in was probably 2 minutes. The combo of snow and my protests almost made me a good skier a turn or 2 today.

Did the Bird get everything open today, or did they save something for tomorrow?

I think everything but RTP opened. Although I think I heard that mineral may have only been intermittently opened. Things were still soft but fairly skied out at the end of the day.

Road sucked as expected, but surprisingly light crowds and fantastic snow.

ASP really took care of business today with Backside and Ballroom open for lap 1 and Devil's Castle by noon. Did 4 runs without hardly crossing a track and called it a day, this was my 3rd:

they didnt open ski patrol gully

I didnt see anyone on Road to Provo all day, assuming it'll open tomorrow.

Got rope drop on Cirque traverse and Peruvian (went immediately to Ampitheatre where it was hero turns and navel deep the whole way down).

Baldy got tracked out quick but still HQ soft snow

Top 5 day of the year for me IMO

I’ll chime in that the bird did not suck today.

First in trees off gad zoom, sth, shot 13 lines untracked, 3rd skier into great Scott.

I was on the grizzly corn supergoats. Tomorrow SL skis in the afternoon, new Lhasa fats in the morning.

damn that wasn't the "if you only knew" solitude
    more like ikonic clusterfuck multitudes
maybe the sillytude will use some of that money they have to be making
to buy lift mazes and hire enough lifties and patrol cause the honeycomb line going all the way back the cat track to warren miller

    aint solitude
and not letting those in the know take the og hc return trail to alleviate youre 2 works like ass rfid gates going into a quad that isn't getting quaded
or loaded cause your shit sucks is sillytudial sad
its almost like theyre trying to make the on mountain experience suck enough to limit crowds
I think the owners are pissed as I would be pissed if you sold me on a solitude that's now a multitude and we don't care enough to make simple changes to fix it
other than that 7:30 at the mouth 8 in the lot
fresh cirque rope line to a just opening summit to fresh headwall to back around milk run gate to reefer ridge and fresh beluga to a full honeycomb opening and untracked g spot didn't suck

and the fants today wont either

especially cause ikon't hike that shit
maybe the fact that you needed to close the canyon at noon will be a
Houston we have an ikonic problem
    wake up call
good day to be a tow trucker props to upd for teaching those self entitled to park where we want assholes a good lesson
and multiple broke dick uta busses outta be one too

    enjoy the silence

figured upper silver fork would be relatively quiet early with the lcc closure, so took the approach from solitude. lots of trailbreaking. didn’t see or hear anyone until seeing soli patrol on the top of east bowl after 9. took in the view from the pinnacle and watched 3 skiers crush meadow chute runs in the distance, but didn’t see any tracks anywhere else. pretty sure heard the honeycomb canyon rope drop but outside of control work from the resorts, it was silent. exited at 11:30. still no tracks in west bowl or anywhere else outside of meadow chutes.

no instabilities noticed on w and n facing aspects and the turns were out of this world, super floaty, faceshots ... couldn't have been better

why wasn't this pic taken looking the opposite direction, after all those skis were tossed out of the corral? that is some fucked up shit you'd expect to see at Steaux.
