Noted. It might have to go into Volume II though, there are so many of these proud sticks out there. I want to take a look at that blue limestone too, there's so much of it in that drainage! The couloir looks like a perfect way to observe it up close (at high speed).

Not too windy in BCC up to 9k, we didn't push above that as skinning was pretty rough and there was a clear elevation boundary for some impressively strong gusts. The graupel layer is buried and provides a spongy base with 6" or so of right side up snow on top. Creamy skiing in the trees, no wind effect, no collapses on W aspects, but it was obvious the sluffs would take some management if you got into the steeps. Tomorrow and Thursday should be interesting.

if you bring skis longer than about 180cm your only choice in that couloir may be to go high speed

    That is insane...

Edit: forgot to mention that when I headed up BCC just before 7AM there was a cop sitting in his car in the middle of the road just past the park and ride who was actively checking tires. He had his lights flashing, was stopping every car, and was taking a solid look using a flash light. I thanked him profusely after he told me I had some good looking tires. He was still there when Ms Boissal headed up around 1PM.
    There's hope for Wasangeles!!

Anyone else stuck on the bypass road making arrangements for other people to gather your kids?

The skiing was worth this small hell.

530 AM closure noob, sorry. Just need to be past the B gate before 530 right? Interlodge doesn't go into effect until 630 per town of Alta site. Thanks

Beating it and doing some work tomorrow early AM. I'll be the one with the IKON pass stopping on the high T

You were right though, I miss-read the date.

Yes, just need to be past the gate, be sure to leave some extra time though cause occasionally they close it a few minutes early.

I'm planning on beating the closure as well in the GMD. Let's ski. Green/black flylow jacket with burnt orange helmet.

Also, the Bird was so good today.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS, AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 18-19

I met friends visiting from Oregon at powmow today.

Fuck. I had forgot how flat that place is. Loads of snow, lots of “hardcore” snowboarders ripping the flat.

Powder country was fun I guess but short.

Fun short lines off of paradise

"I'm finally getting Deer valley dialed" -words I never thought I'd say. But I said them today.

To further ruin this thread that should be solely of BC conditions, here's a pic of my breakfast sandwich geared for the 1%. Had to weigh a half a pound.

I might want to throw some chains on. I'm in the valley but it looks like 12 in over night. Snowbird reporting 17 since 4pm. Still snowing heavily with the new flow in control.
