Apart from the debris, how was the skiing? Corn on the south aspect? I skied an east facing line today with about a 20-30 minute window of good turns before things flipped quickly to mashed potatoes, all preceded by a shallow refreeze with a barely supportable crust.

Above the debris there was a good freeze (up to maybe 10k' which is roughly where I ran out of time) with maybe 1" of new snow on top, the underlying crust was supportable and actually the whole thing was relatively pleasant skiing aside from the 1500' of refrozen wet debris lol. I think a south facing slope that wasn't a debris field would ski nice tomorrow if we get a similar freeze. I descended around 8:30am ish though and there was no direct sunlight on the line at that time so I didn't get any corn window. Also I know that in the absence of well-below-freezing overnight lows, the quality of the freeze depends on loads of things this time of year, so to some extent I may have just gotten lucky.
What elevation were you at today?

10-10.5K or so to the top of Days starting in BCC. Given conditions it was more exercise than a real tour, whereas your line and those in the vicinity have potential if overnight temps drop.

I'm hoping to harvest some corn Thurs morning, but need to be back in the valley by 8:30. Anybody got a sense for when E facing at 9.5k is softening up?

Should have set the alarm for earlier....Little Superior was cooked at 8.
The weak refreeze last night didn't help, although I did still appreciate my ski crampons.

If anyone cares, the Bird has adjusted their hours to 0900-1430 due to the warm temps.

Is that going to adjust if temps go low again? I mean it is still not even May, those hours typically dont kick in until at least after Alta closes. Must be warm.
With the big snow year have they made any announcements about extending past Memorial Day (i assume they will easiily make that)?

I wouldn't be suprised if they keep the hours adjusted even if it gets cold. Its been real warm the past few days and there have been a couple rain events in the past week. Simply put, there is a ton of H20 in the pack right now!
It would also appear we went the past two nights without a good freeze at most weather stations, but I haven't been in the mountains to confirm.

no lack of a good refreeze last night, it was fucking bulletproof well into the day at some aspects... went up the pfieff thinking about the NW but it would've needed a lot more sun, even NE was pretty hard still when I descended
anything southerly was corntacular around 11:30. some decent freezes coming this week too...
met a few friendly folks on the way up and down, including the two guys pictured there heading for the NW... hope it went well gentlemen!

Did a quick evening lap at Alta. Maybe 3-5" of new snow, so the best skiing was low angle groomers. It was nice to just get some exercise and see cold snow again!

well it's may, and I hear the it's the season to #gomtbwithyourfriends
headed up toledo and did a lap in the chute, but the chute was sluffy and bottom-feedy, so I went back up for the face
absolute money. hit it 2 more times after that.
saw a bunch of headlamps over at alta but pretty quiet where I was, one guy followed my skinner and dropped into cardiff, another guy coming up as I was on my way down... people gearing up in the lot, but not the crowd I expected for a may powder day
it also got me pretty stoked to see people climbing the Y on my drive out LCC... the Y which still goes clean to the road in may... I remember a couple years ago climbing rocks past a waterfall to ski what was left of suicide with snowaddict in may... after a year like this, the Y might need to get it again
