Who's skiing Monday-Wednesday 1/14-16 ? I should be on my annual migration across the great arc of the west including the beehive state at this time. When the old trodden paths cut across the cool base of the hill.

Kudos to UDOT for stacking up traffic alternating 20 cars or so on a usual zipper. Way to solve the problem!

If Deer Valley passes weren’t $2375 I’d seriously consider getting a pass there. Once you get to either edge of the resort the people are gone and the terrain is better.

On a canyonfuck day I can get there far quicker from my house.

Yea, how fucking stupid was that? Once again what they are doing in LCC is moronic. In as much as it was UDOT that had two employees doing the work this time we can add them to the UPD incompetence.

The geniuses behind today’s move are the top brass at Alta and Snowbird. There was a big road meeting this week and that’s what they wanted.

The most puzzling part of today was considering how junkshowed it was getting up there and the road parking from entry 1 to entry 4 at Snowbird it was straight shot barely maze tram all day. The Gad side was busy with race kiddies and what not but the Peruvian side was a ghost town for the most part. The people were there, I just wasn't sure where they went.

Alta didn’t seem all that busy today either, but it was the worst trip of the year down the canyon for me. I left at about 4:20 and made it to 7-11 at just about 5:20.

If people could stop trying to aggressively get a head in the passing zones going down the hill it would be much faster. Having to merge brings it to a halt.

I'm out with a knee injury at the moment, so I've not been up there to witness the junk show first hand. What was the issue? I can't quite picture this.

They mandated 20 car groups to merge? Where was this?

Where 209 (9400 S) comes into 210 they alternated stopping traffic letting about 20 cars at a time go. It was stupid and backed traffic up fierce. Normally people just zipper there and it's fairly smooth. I got up earlier today so I'm not sure if they had the same stupid plan today.

it was a spectacular sunrise. coldish, not really much wind to speak of, but yesterday's warm temps seem to have affected the surface a bit

Damn, what time do you get out of bed to be on top of Gobbs at sunrise? Even from Butler it's a pretty serious slog...
