Hey guys, word on the street is that Trump's daughter/girlfriend and her moron fake Jewish husband are at Deer Valley.

If you've got the Ikon days available, feel free to load up on rotten tomatoes. If you can't out-ski Secret Service agents (who don't care at this point, to be frank) or Deer Valley patrollers, you are soft as fuck.

    It always is, right?

Almost had a repeat of last week's failed mission with the exact same cloud bank hanging over the exact same peak and giving us just enough glimpses of the line to force us to go to the top.
This time we just rolled with it and managed to sneak up on the angry Twins during a 2-minute window, just enough time for a good centerpunch. Serious sandbagging followed as I botched the linkup by booting up the wrong chute, resulting in a fair amount of extra climbing and downclimbing on sugar-coated slabs (note: not ideal in verts).
Dense settled pow was on the menu down to 8500', delicious but thigh-busting soft debris were encountered below that. Glide cracks the size of Alaskan bergschrunds were noted. Skis on all the way to the car with the exception of one 100' section of river bed.

No skiing shots as we were racing the clouds, pics of people with their heads down instead (most likely cursing my name the whole time while I cackled maniacally):

Went up Flagstaff with a thought of hallway. Bailed. 10’ cracks coming from every step toward the top. Steeper breakovers near switchbacks would break and run over the skinner.

Kicked off lots of smaller slides coming back down binx. 6-10” deep. One was maybe 40 feet wide and ran 50’, another maybe 20’ wide ran 100’.

Reports of a party of 3 triggering a slide in Cardiac Bowl, one partially buried and needing assistance from WBR.

Cardiac Bowl, surprised it wasn't more.

Skied Main Days at around noon and set off several SS that ran pretty well. The bed surface skied for shit too. A party of four was looking for the Hallway at the top and I'm sure that whole thing sluffed wall-wall.

    With a 5" fx.
Really wide on the Nish facing.
    All in the uphill mode.
    2 buried to their necks.
    Not many ski poles left...
Think some things were learned today.
Hopefully by more than the involved party.

More like we've all been counting down the days until he's finally gone. Bring back zone 5! Telefree should've been calling the shots there long ago.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS, AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 18-19

Initial report from Cardiac bowl slide is up.

    https://utahavalanchecenter.org/avalanche/46366

Sounds like it could have been much worse. Cracking 2' from my skis on the skin track would be a red flag, no?
