If it's moist and warm, its rimming. If it's moist and cold it's riming. Just check the temp of the subject matter if you think if you are skiing and think you might have seen some riming in the trees.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Is that the Ridge, Summit wants to develop with home sites? What’s happening with the overall development?

    Looks like fun to me.

If anyone is up for late afternoon, weekday touring this season, let me know. Weekday awn patrols are out with my current schedule, but I can get out in the afternoon, at least occasionally.

I got a solid bunch of partners and have been going nearly every weekday. (eta: I go very early, skinning by 5am and back at the car by 8am, just fyi)

    and yeah... it was fun

Seven days after the storm, but first day it was open.

Summit has not developed Mary's yet, but just about everywhere else. I'm sure they'll eventually cut a road to it and divy it into parcels.

8k-ish, east facing. We had no snow on the ground before the series of big Thanksgiving storms.

must've been 25 headlamps going up pole line / flagstaff this morning. wish I had a better camera, it was a pretty cool sight actually. lots of folks out, the stoke was high although the temperatures were in the single digits... probably a foot or more new up high, wind affected in places, not in others. skied fucking great. west bowl / emmas getting nearly tracked out by dawn lol
