I'm heavily debating a mental health day from work tomorrow but not sure I want to brave the crowds. Looks like pretty much nothing at the bird opened today though. Hmm.

Need some info. Hitting Brighton tomorrow. Is it deep enough and is there enough leftover to justify the big woods (120 in the middle) or should I stay with old faithful tool in the quiver (108).

I’d go with the 108. It’s deep and I’m guessing you can still find some good stashes, but I’m not a big fan of skiing skis that big on the chopped up runouts, doesn’t feel great on my knee.

I switched from 116 to 108’s today around noon.

This morning on wtf lcc. UPD suv stick at the A gate turn out, causing minor uphill delays. Past that smooth sailing.

At 7:20 I hit traffic at the firehouse, kept moving for the most part. Tram line was insane today, it morphed into forms I’d never seen before.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS, AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 18-19

Probably the longest lines I've ever seen at the bird today. Snow is getting heavy but skied well. Little Cloud has been down due to mech issues all day which contributed quite a bit to the cluster.

Also PSA: this is not how to save your spot in the liftline.

Good meeting you tuco; somehow got separated at the bottom of our run. I ended up waiting for summit which was worth it for my best run in headwall forest I've ever had.

Turns into honeycomb were money. Dry skiing at the rocky entrance at the powderhorn gate ftw...helped me pass a bunch of people for first tracks. People like their skis I guess.

Lots of people came over to BCC cause of the lcc closure. I haven't seen soli that busy on a pow day. Hopefully not the new norm.
It is the new norm. Enjoy the ikon pass !!!

The tram line was a full maze inside, a never seen before quad maze around the building, back to the plaza, doubled back onto the new walkway, up the stairs and partway to the Cliff Lodge.

Holy shit those lines are painful. Supreme looked hellacious today, but the singles line was probably only about 10 minutes. Hopefully tomorrow is a little better with people going to church instead of skiing.

I want to form a company called Don’t Ski Utah and start advertising with these pics. The world needs to know we have extremely long lift lines and of course you can’t drink here.

Seconded that. Just for the record, the lines at Brighton we're twice as long.

I just want to say fuck you snowbird. Who the hell thought that today, as the canyon was emptying, was a good idea to drive up those 2 new cats? Road was slow (not horrible, but slow) solely because of this nonsense. This after they caused the ridiculous debacle around Christmas by doing absolutely no metering. Might be my last year with a dual pass, lines today looked absurd.

If you were in the Peruvian line and heard my buddy Travis holler “All you mother fuckers need to go home!!!” I apologize and have talked some sense into him as in those joeys pay for our cheapish passes.

I”m willing to endure the gong show for a few weekends a season in exchange for the weekends it dumps when they aren’t here.

But yeah, I need to get the fuck out of here.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

With SFB down with a sore ankle (rumor on the street is he came up short on Chad's...) Mrs. SFB and I headed out for some low key powder slaying. Didn't see any long lines or other tracks all day. Snow was pretty light in the AM but started to get heavy pretty quick.
34 at the car with some light drizzle when we left after noon.

So Monday is shaping up to be a straight up blizzard. What time should I be at the mouth of bcc if I plan on getting to Brighton with time to spare before opening? 7 am?
