Yeah no way they would be able to accommodate all the traffic an Olympic event at snowbird would bring. I am wondering what event they could hold? Super g and slalom on regulator? There's no real obvious big steep line looking from the base.

Gondola seems lowest impact and on Creek side mostly Unobtrusive.

a Gondola would be sweet>though they never put enough parking in for the Bus routes... If we had to walk 1/2 mile in ski boots ,like at the BCC entrance-it would be another fail

You could use ice skates on the bypass road right now. I had to put my truck in reverse to control my speed as I slid down it.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS, AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 18-19

Hit LCC just past light at 9. Waited 15 minutes without moving and went to solitude. It’s a Wednesday in mid April. What is the deal?

But sillytude was pretty damn good for sure. So there is that!
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Tomorrow is going to be epic and/or terrifying. If the winds kept at it today I might tuck tail and actually go to work, wait for the Friday extravaganza.

I did the same. I had to be to work fairly early and didn’t want to waste too much time in my car. But no complaints about Soli this morning.

That's weird. Alta was a ghost town all day. Maybe everyone went to BCC. Bird didn't look packed when I was driving home.

We got to the mouth of the canyon about 8:00, they let everyone up to I think Gate B, we were stopped short of gate A and waited about 20 minutes. Alta Central at 8:10 said the road was open, not sure it opened quite that early as we did not move until about 8:30 and there was no downhill traffic until 8:30 or a little later. There was a UPD squad at the mouth in the check tires position, he was reading a newspaper or something when we drove by. I did not see any 2WD vehicles driving up the road nor did I see any vehicles having an issue getting up. BTW, road was super greasy on the way down.

word on "greasy". I saw 2 cars go off the road at 1230pm on Wed right in front of me. 1 new Ford pickup 4WD with super wide low profile tires, and a Lesbaru with street radials.

That's how he rolls, even on the deepest days. And he's had a lot of those this year.

Less skiing with those heavy goggles weighing you down on the way up!
