That's pretty core. I'm wondering how the roads up the canyon will be in the morning. I don't have snows on yet. If worse comes to worst, I'll just skin up Empire.

(cross post from CO thread)
I'm a bachelor this weekend and am itching for some turns. I'm in SLC but don't mind a good road trip with my dogs. I'm trying to find a high elevation grassy zone that is dog friendly. Based on some googling, sounds like McMillan Peak at Red Mountain Pass could fit the bill. Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Nothing like a season ending injury before the season starts. I'll wait, thanks.

14" new up here last night. Uphill traffic allowed. Winds are W @ 30 on Baldy...heads up in the Main Chute!
Don't wanna ride it like Conway and Coombs did years ago in similar conditions.Time spent skiing cannot be deducted from one's life.

Wow. That video captured the essence of what I like to call “Femur Season”, or alternatively “Tibial Plateau Season”.

One one hand, I did shit like that in college too. On the other hand, we didn't have online snowfall monitoring so you could know how much it snowed before you go.
I had fun, kinda, but felt like an idiot when I had to ski shit like that, but these guys want the whole world to see what they did. So weird.

Heavy is good. Cover those rocks. I might've just stayed right near where you are and lapped the low angle grassy race course or Vail ridge area. Easy laps, easy on the skis.

Went up to the top of wildcat for my turns. Thought the snow was a bit too wet personally, but cant really complain 🤣. Enjoyed practicing my mogul skiing down at the bottom of Collins

Nice work boys. I think I may have to try to get out today before it’s gone.
