Did the UPD have a squad at the mouth of LCC when the road was restricted?

Today my legs feel like they were beaten up and down with a rubber hose. It was a good weekend @ the bird

Buddy and I want to ski Alta on Monday, 12/17. I'm a local but ski up at snowbasin. Any good ways to get discounted day tickets?

Does it have to be Alta? At liftopia, you can ski The Bird for $74 and Solitude for $56

Looked like a spine. It was about 2’ long. Lots of tracks around it.

Wow! Cat power in bcc! I’ve had a bobcat around but have Not seen the tracks of the big cat. There have been some sightings in Brighton though. Hope solitude doesn’t have to shut down the whole mountain this time for the Zion Lion invasion

Ya I have definitely seen large cat like tracks in BCC before. I know nothing about wildcats and cougar tracks but know the prints I have seen around there were big on several occasions. Can I ask where you were in Big Cottonwood you found that? What Skintrack?

That's rad. I've seen tracks and my buddy has pictures of a cougar he saw while skiing in BCC. It's kind of odd to see the cat in deep snow since they typically follow their pray (deer) to lower elevations once the snow piles up. But myself and a few friends have been seeing tracks for the last couple years. Then again it's not like the last two winter's have been that deep....

I'd also check KSL for folks who are selling individual days out of a 10-pack. You'll probably find some for $70 early season. Later in the year, I've been able to snag some for $30/day when people realize that might not be able to use all the remaining days. That's my go to strategy for when friends are in town

it was kinda trying to snow every once in a while down to maybe 6k' this morning... very intermittent, not holding out much hope. maybe tomorrow night's wave will fare better.
