Lhotse Couloir skied
Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison skied the 7000 ft Lhotse Couloir in a 17 hour push the other day, making them super-fucking badass:

The couloir descends some 2,500 feet before emerging onto open face. Pitches range between 45 and 50 degrees. Mountaineers had skied the Lhotse Face before, but the Dream Line, as it’s known, remained unconquered until now.
Nelson, from Colorado, had previously skied off Makalu, a 27,825-foot peak near Lhotse, and had also completed the Everest to Lhotse traverse back in 2012. A mother of two, she was named a 2018 Nat Geo Adventurer of the Year, and just recently took over the mantle of captain of the North Face Athlete Team from the legendary Conrad Anker.

What a year for Himalayan first descents. K2, and now the Lhotse couloir. Pretty amazing. I can't imagine being at that altitude and skiing something with that much technical requirement and risk. Jeremy Jones says that skiing/boarding down at that altitude is harder on the lungs than the way up.
Psyched to see the photos.

Interesting statement about making 5 jump turns and doubling over and almost puking into your oxygen mask. . .
