    Saw a very similar attachment wheel at least two years ago. Full disclosure. I use my lock between the bindings (has pole loop section) and velcro strap at tips to keep my poles attached to my skis for carrying. All one neat package carried reverse local style..
    Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
