Regarding the skicard, it looks like there's a kiosk in Andermatt at the train station:
    Bahnhofkiosk
    Bahnhofstrasse 2
    6490 Andermatt
    Schweiz

    Open from 8:00 to 18:00

I was able to use the same card for Andermatt as Airolo last year. Engelberg was a different card. I did not use the SkiCard system though.

I would think there would be a kiosk in the Zurich airport/trainstation as well. The only problem would be finding it in there.

Kiosks are everywhere (ok maybe not in Sedrun)... easy at Zurich station, too there are like 10 of them.

I'm reading this where one needs to actually be at a physical k kiosk the same day one orders:
Alternatively, you can select the option «Skicard Pick-up» during the order process and purchase your Skicard on that same day at the nearest k kiosk or Press & Books store.

See https://ski.ticketcorner.ch/faq?blLocaleCode=en#2 , How can I order a ski ticket?

    Anyone else understand this differently?

    this
What does the order option «Skicard Pick-up» mean?
It means you are ordering your ski tickets without the Skicard. Once you have purchased your ski tickets, they are listed in your account under «My ski tickets». Instead of waiting for the shipment, you can now buy your Skicard at the nearest k kiosk or Press & Books store and load the ski ticket onto the Skicard.

makes it seem that one can order tickets by signing up thru the app and then pick up a Skicard at a kiosk, and load those tickets onto the card.
Move upside and let the man go through...

I just talked to vendul. He mentioned that an easier thing may be to send the skicard to the hotel :

    MOUNTAIN LODGE Sedrun
    Via Alpsu 211 - 7189 Sedrun

The price offered is a good deal.

Edit: evidently storms are forecast to move in within the week. Hopefully it won't get too wild.

Also, who is not on WhatsApp ?
I'm not going to nanny everyone, but at the same time, it's probably smart to have a communication mechanism for a ski complex several times the size of Whistler/BC

If you want to be added to a WhatsApp group EuroBBI.19, pm me your phone #

Alright, I just bought a 4-day ticket to the entire SkiArena beginning 19 March.

    Ski card mailed to vendul's

Looks like it's accepted at many places, including Engelberg and Corviglia

I'm more in to Signal... (more secure, not owned by FB) but I'll install Zucsapp to communicate.

Better deal than in person at the Kiosk, or same?

It's a little weird: One has to buy a SkiCard, which one can bind tickets to at any time after registering the card.
But one can't register the card until one has it in ones possession.

So: buy the card, have it sent to venduls hotel. I think the tickets are cheaper if one buys them early. So buy the tickets now.

Then when one gets to venduls hotel in Rueras, go online, register the card and bind the tickets to the card.

    At least that's my understanding.

So how hard would it be to rent a touring setup over there? Originally I was going to only bring my touring skis, but I just ski so much better on my alpine setup that I’m not thrilled about going that route when I’ll probably be spending 80% of my time doing lift served. I can take both setups but it sounds like a pain in the ass. So how hard to just rent skis and skins?

There's several shops in Andermatt that rent touring gear.

    Here's one: http://imholzsportandermatt.ch/en/ho...al-store-shop/

Dan Loutrel (http://www.andermatt-guides.ch/EN/touring.html )may have some custom Birdos to rent too. Dan r00lz.

I'll be flouting around E. CH and even a slash through St. Anton between the 7th and the 17th when I'll roll into Rueras. You'll recognize the hat.
