From the above link:
Either the 5 day Alpine Skills Course (ASC) or the 10 day Rock Guide Course (RGC)
The 10-day Ski Guide Course (SGC)
The 10-day Advanced Ski Guide Course and Aspirant Exam (ASGC/AE)
The 8-day Ski Guide Exam (SGE)
Successful completion of an AMGA Approved Level III, or Pro 2
(Pro 2 requires Level 1, Rescue, Pro 1)
I think the OP has a lot of coursework ahead! The branding of the Level 1 is probably not the thing to lose sleep over.

I doubt OP has any intention of becoming a certified AMGA Ski Guide or dumping the over $10K and several years into the process.
That type of US "guiding" is handled by uncertified resort employees who might have an avalanche class under their belt.Originally Posted by blurred

^^^ Pretty much that in a nutshell. Basically a glorified Mountain Host. NTTAWWT.
Make a little coin and some tips, get a pass and locker, maybe some pro purchase access.
