Looks like we added 17 cm in the last 24 hours and 29 over the last 2 days.
Move along nothing to see here.

I experienced the wind in town yesterday afternoon. Insane.
Had a little rain late last night, bottom half Mile 1 elevation affected, but everyone crowding Summit today.
First run didn’t cross tracks in frontside summit trees. Did another lap then some Zone down to Champagne chair. It was deserted, but big line at Summit again. Did a lap in Taynton which was thigh deep blower and few tracks all the way down.
Finishing lunch and heading back out in 5.

Was a good day but holy f, I have never seen lines like that at louise. When I left at 2 there was traffic on both sides of the road 500m below the skoki turn. Punters galore and 50 cm makes for some Warren Miller like moments when paradise opened. Was a great show from the lift.

I'm heading to Golden tonight so I can spend the weekend in gondola lines.
Maybe everyone will stay at Louise?

Although things aren't deep everywhere at Castle (are they ever before Feb ? , it was a very good day with no crowds. Winds should reset things for tomorrow.

Great shots. That about sums up some of my day. I will add to those with fomo is that it was heavy and would stop you dead in your tracks unless steep. Thanks for the pictures, didn't have it in me to stop and take any.

Awesome shots guys, thanks. Reminds me of that storm in late April 2008 that dropped 100cm in 36h at Sunshine... although there were extreme winds if I recall.

Skier dies at Kicking Horse Mountain resort
30-year-old man found unresponsive on a ski run at the mountain resort
Golden-Field RCMP said in a statement police were informed of the "sudden death" of a 30-year-old man from Golden.
Const. Spencer Lainchbury said the man had been reported overdue by a friend after missing a scheduled meet.
Police said resort staff made a sweep of the hill and found the man on one of the runs at approximately 7 p.m.
Police say he was transported by B.C. Ambulance, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Golden-Field RCMP say they are continuing to assist the B.C. Coroners Services with its investigation into the man's death.

Dropping out of formation has it's advantages I guess.
Icefall is a really cool place. It was my first guided and catered trip. I would recommend that approach to anyone. Not all the time, but it definitely has it's place. It really makes for a true vacation. The take care of everything and all you're left with is skiing and chilling. We got massive amounts of skiing in. Food was awesome. Respect to our guide Andrew Wrench. Not so much for his mountain skills (which were impeccable but I expect that from an ACMG guide) but more for the fact that he was a really good dude and fun to hang out with. My previous guided experiences (cat skiing) had left me a bit trepidatious of guides for douchebaggery related reasons but Andrew was humble and chill. Jeff was a great cook and we had a strong crew. All in all, a fantastic time and although $2500 is a steep outlaw of cash, it is really a good deal considering what you get. I plan on checking out Larry's other cabin next year (Snowfall) next year.
