And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Bruins still can’t beat the Caps

Official 2018-2019 NHL Season
It’s baffling.
Ovechkin looks as good as he ever has imo, and possibly, if possible, even more confident out there. Carrying the puck over the blue line and ripping slap shots in stride— I don’t follow the whole league all that well, but I haven’t seen another player who does that occasionally, let alone routinely. And here I figured (hoped) he might have partied himself into a slow start.

Caps sure as hell limped into the break. My son is pretty bummed. I am resolutely unbothered.

It's been almost impressive how completely things have fallen apart in the last couple of weeks. I really wish Holtby and Carlson were both skipping the All-Star game, as I think Holtby, in particular, needs to go away from hockey for a bit to get reset. Last year, he got smoked in the 3v3 tournament, and it carried over to a few terrible games after the break. If that happens again this year, after the skid into the break, it could be devastating to his confidence, and goalies are mostly mental anyway.

Anyone else not give a shit about the All star game or skillz contest?

They say that the all-star game is for the fans and the kids. As a fan, I think it's stupid and the skills competition is almost as worthless.
If they want to make it like a game of pond hockey, make it like pond hockey. All the sticks in the middle, and bring kids out to separate them into teams. And have a kid on each bench as the head "coach" of the team. They could be make-a-wish kids or contest winners, but make it fun for the players again.

Well. My Wild are officially in rebuild mode. So disappointing. Years of bottom dwelling in my future. The life has been sucked out of the state of hockey and the X.
Nino and today, Coyle are gone.
I see Foligno and Stall moving next.
I’d try to move Brodin as well. I’d ask Parasie and Suter if they want to waive their no trade clauses move them too, even if that means retaining some salary.

Canes are back in the hunt after several piss poor seasons. Just scored some lower level corner seats for the boy and me to the March 30th vs the Flyers.. Past several seasons I would have waited until mid March to get late season seats, but now that they're winning again tickets are getting harder to come by.

Bruns give up a Harvard guy from Scituate (Donato) and pick up a BU guy from Weymouth (Charlie Coyle). Going a little blue-collar.
Bruins are playing better. My Son's Caps are puzzling.

Love the way the Bs have been scoring in Pastrnak’s absence. Both goalies playing well again.
Will be interesting to see if Donato ever develops a complete game. He can definitely shoot the puck.

Can't figure the Avs out. Great start, then played like crap for weeks, but maybe there is hope after the way they played the Jets a couple times in the last week.

Sean Avery has never been someone I thought was all there. Looks like I wrong. The way he calls out Islander fans for being "geasey Islander fucks" is priceless.
Congratulations Islander fans. You showed so much class to a man that played his heart out and Never ragged about being on a such a has-been team.
NSFW. Sorry only link beside twitter I could link.

I generally think Avery is a piece of shit but his harassment of goalies standing in front facing them and waving his arms around is still one of the funniest things I've seen in hockey

Bunch of Jerks are playing well. Best February in franchise history.

Nice to see my Wild get back on the winning side of things. Five straight. Problem is everyone close keeps winning and we can’t gain any ground. Schedule doesn’t get any easier either.
Seems like our recent trades pumped some life into the squad.
Anyone see that Hathaway cheap shot on Kunin last night? Way dirty. He slammed his head into the dasher. Suspension coming his way.

Would like to see the Caps play the Canes over the Jackets.
