    TR: Refugio Frey - Argentina

    On our last week of our touring trip to Argentina we headed to Bariloche in Patagonia. There is a big resort there but we wanted to check out the famous Refugio Frey. There are two options, walk the summer route which takes about 4 hours depending on conditions, or tour from Caterdral resort. Avalanche conditions were pretty bad so we took the summer route in. There are endless lines in the valley by the hut (which despite its size you can get pizza, wine, beer etc). Some are very steep indeed if you are that way inclined. Lots for mere mortals such as ourselves too. We toured out back to the resort a few days later, which was a long and committing day with the conditions we had. Here is a short video from that week:
