For the East coast, I’ll take Ikon.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Not if you can get the Epic for $99 and live 40 minutes from Stowe....

I just wish the rumors were true and Vail bought Smuggs also. Think of Smuggs as Magic X2

I have both but probably only this year. Since the epic deposit is non refundable the money saved is only a few days so I go with it. Ikon has more appeal but being a Tahoe skier I still need an alternative to north shore junk show.

No big road trips are planned for this year. So staying with the Kirkwood pass. I just don’t ever make it to Heavy or N*.

And of course, since Fail shuts down Kirkwood as soon as they can, every other year I am forced to get the Alpine/Squaw Pass for two years of Spring skiing. The fact that they threw in Mammoth, et. al., for my Summer trip, is all positive.

Ikon base. Most days at WP, a few at Eldo/Copper/Boat (and now Aspen) and a trip to chase best snow out of Utah, Jackson/Big Sky, Revy/Banff or Reno.

Shouldn't the poll be: "Do you live in UT or CO?"

I'll believe it when you drive me to the hill.

But yeah, Luv because it's logisitcally the easiest as a weekend-warrior from Denver and the bonus days with Powder Alliance addition are pretty rad this year for a dude with a van.

fwiw mountain collective, may help someone decide.

2nd year on mountain collective, literally helps to 'make skiing great again'. FWIW, it has been a challenge using the piss out it (but it is well used and worth it, i.e. storm chase). I see no reason for the new passes unless you live right next to one of the mountains or will spend 10 days there. For $400 one can't go wrong with the MC.

Can't wait to check out Big Sky. And hoping that I get to ski JH on a 4000 vert ft day. Hope to return to Taos pending snow, was game last year, but near zero good weather.

Hit Lake Louise perfect for a day last year, plus Alta and Snowbird. Just missed others, but still gtg for the a day at least.

These days it is BC tour or chase a storm...

I doubled down this year. I picked up my usual full Epic and added an Ikon Base pass. Since I had a balance on my Solitude 10 pass from last season, they allowed me to apply the balance to the Ikon. Bring it on Ullr!

Unless you live in Park City, IKON is a no brainer for Utards. Unlimited Solitude, access to Brighton, DV, Alta and Snowbird vs. $25 burgers at the Red Pine Lodge. Personally, I did Epic and DV. For the 10 or so days that I ski outside of PC, I will either go full boat, or liftopia

I have not had a pass the last two years with the two little ones, but our oldest is three now and with the move at the end of November, I went with the one day a week Aspen pass. Maybe someday soon I will get to ski more then once a week.

^^^ Not sure this is correct. The way that I read it, for $999 you get 7 days at Deer and for $699 you get 5 days.

Yeah, but if you buy a full DV pass, they add the full Ikon on top of it.

So if you have your DV pass for the year, you've got Solitude, your LCC days, etc. etc.

Oh, Thanks! My DV is a local pass, so it won't work.

Can't not do KAB and for $220 more I get Epic Local which gets me CB, Vail and Beav.

I've always bought Loveland as a second... but $400 for Loveland vs $700 for Ikon Base...

LL is $400 now? That's pretty insane. $419 if you aren't returning. Seems as though the Luv will be a lot less crowded this year. It's like they are trying to lose business. Abasin is only $339.

Starting to sound more and more like Ikon will be drawing a large amount of people over this season. WP and Copper are gonna be pretty crazy. Main Vein is gonna be a death trap. with that new "Chondola"

Is this the first season for the Beavers at A Basin?

That place is already a shit show at times due to the Epic pass. I do find it odd that Loveland would price themselves higher then A Basin.
