Glad to see the 104s are back. Solid, all-around touring ski.

Down Skis 2018-19 Preseason Sale / U.S. Group Buy
A super beefy variable conditions ski makes more sense for me than a super beefy pow ski. I dont rage in soft snow the way I do on firmererer snow.

Has anyone by chance been on the showdown 202's? Or the Countdown 114, 196's? Debating one or the other, or both depending on what the group buy looks like. They seem similar in some ways but don't want too much crossover in the skis.

After 9/15, I'll send a PM to those who've posted here or PM me and we'll see where we're at. Betelgeuse, you should definitely grab a pair of 202s. It won't be hard to re-sell them if they're not as dreamy in real life as they are on paper, given the prices Down asks for new skis.

Down Skis 2018-19 Preseason Sale / U.S. Group Buy
I guess I’m in for an SD 95 I never received mine from last years group buy. I believe that Geo told me that there was some production delays with the metal skis
I still have the bindings for them in my closet so I’m ready to get Down

This is the one ski that could sway me from a CD 104 or 114. I'm gonna post a question or two about it over in the Tech Talk thread - to keep all that stuff over there.
It's a width in my quiver that I've ignored - almost caving on either Wren or Kartel 98s last Winter.
I keep buying skis in the 11x width category - wishful thinking that every day is a powder day ;-)

I have never owned a metal ski I rented a pair of bramas last season at Alta and I had a great day on them Collins side was firm no problem backside was soft and big bumps no problem
So hoping these will be a fun low tide ride.
I also ordered pair of wildcat 108 tours so I’m over spending again but I can’t help it

Anyone with SD95s that can speak to stiffness comparable to more common skis (Bonafide, Enforcer etc)?
geo -- ideal euro touring ski? LD90 or CD104L?
