That was unreal, second set was probably the best of any show I've seen. The addition of the fiddle is pretty awesome.

I could have done without the spinning track, otherwise face melted.

    Go see Billy Strings!

Has anybody heard if there will be an afternoon set?

Edit: yes there was and it was a super cool scene.

Hope everyone had an incredible weekend and got home safely.

I think Billy is the best touring band. I’d rather see them than phish or Dead & co.

    Mind blown.

yep..... hell of a weekend festival.

buddie joined a campground bluegrass session saturday and Sara Jarosz jumped in, dam she can play the mandolin and fantastic voice. did not realize it was her until we caught her act before billy and heard her sing, instantly registered with us

great time all around. campgrounds were kept pretty clean at least up top of the hill, chill crowds and did not hear one dam gas bottle. complete 180 from phish dicks and "ice cold" every 20 ft.

    11/10 would bang again.

Still reeling from this weekend. So many high points (Dust in a Baggie, freeborn man, hide and seek, into the mire, turmoil and tinfoil and the china cat - rider at the after show).

That’s the first time a show has really transported me to a higher place since phish in the 90s. The vibes in that place were SO HIGH.

    Can’t wait until next year.

Check out Billy's instagram for a recent video he uploaded, he's been getting swarmed by hustlers wanting his signature and he's tired of it.

checked out renewal night 1 video last night and gonna put on n2 tonite. i'm thrilled with the space that Alex and his fiddle have created. It was the right time to make the move and his joining the band has elevated their playing and the sound is just incredible. pssssh FKNA this is the real deal!

    He must read TGR.

Was live at Austin City Limits music fest on Hulu tonight. He killed it. Just keeps getting better.

He has come a long way since the OSB walled bedroom of his youth. So lucky his stepdad got him into music instead of meth.

I tried, I really did. I watched some of the Halloween show, fucking hobbits and shit, are you fucking kidding me? It’s like Del McCory Band but with half the talent. Guitar solo>mandolin solo>banjo solo>upright bass solo and then play as fast as we can for five minutes, rinse and repeat. Every song is the fucking same. Lame

dayum, that's too bad son. if you think all the songs sound the same, i think your ears are broke.

    Here's a few choice cuts:

Do those tracks sound the same to you?

In other news, watching the free fall show tonite on Nugs and the first set segues were nice....second set sounding good so far. he just did Dylan's Drifter's escape. the hometown crowd is having a blast - well, except for that dude on the rail who appears to be trippin' a little too hard. haha! been there...
