    Spring Break Surf location Ideas

Hi, all. First day of class for my senior year of college today so naturally, I started looking into spring break.

I go to CU and my buddies and I are all mainly skier/bikers, but when we get the chance, we like to do a little surfing.

Last year we were down near Sayulita, Mexico. There, we surfed about 2-4' waves, and I ended the trip on a 7' board. That's my attempt at communicating our skill level.

Looking for some input as to ideas for location! Near or Far, hopefully on the affordable side, with some mellow surfing nearby and your typical spring break activities (Read - bars).

Help out a land locked bum! TIA

wannasurf.com is outdated, but provides best time of the year advice for surfing in locations, including breaks obvious or hidden, all over the world.

Consider scheduling it like a ski trip; wait until a week or so out and book based on swell forecasts. That is, if surfing good waves is more important than budget.
