Agree, but I'll add, if you get there first, park head in, not parallel, if possible, and leave as much room for other cars as you can. I've blocked cars parked parallel at trailheads, but left the keys in mine and put a note on the other cars. I've also taken the liberty of nudging a vehicle out of my way when I've been boxed in.

So, uh, I guess we need to start the thread way early in the future? Surprised irul hasn’t mentioned this after all of the shit he took several weeks back! Extended forecast is ridiculous. Looks like Japan.

The 18z GFS for middle of next week looks like insane amounts of precip as it connects with sub tropical. Like holy shits amount of precip. Hope it stays cold enough for all snow. Then more from the north. Things sure could get buried.

Tossed and turned all night, woke up early and couldn’t fall back asleep so I took a gamble and went for another adventure up to castle peak’s south side and it paid off. Temps, cloud cover and the wind kept that face nice and sugary. Not waist deep but damn nice snow nonetheless. Couldn’t get a great picture of the line without going in black and white. Video to come.

Bunch of fun at Kirkwood yesterday. I haven't had many opportunities to ski completely untracked pow so this was a pretty rad day, to say the least. Fluffy and light snow, plenty of it. Barely any crowds. Sorry no skier shots, maybe a couple videos if I figure out how to upload em

So after deciding not to spend last weekend in Tahoe, I came up on Tuesday at Alpine. Had to go to 50 and loop up around the Lake... but goddamn it was worth it. It was an interesting day, I was getting stuck in spots... but I had some all-time turns and lines that day.

Debating the play for a day trip Sunday. Some friends are going to try Diamond Peak. I may try for Bear Valley to avoid traffic. I'm assuming I'm going to get stuck and miss work Monday (assuming I can even get up) which I'm generally ok with.

^ I would not try to get to Diamond Peak from the bay on Sunday, odds not in your favor IMO. Bear Valley might be doable?
