Holy shit! Is there a news article on that? Is that the Harrah’s lot with Harvey’s in the background? Damn, that is insane. Could you imagine passing out drunk, waking up and not being able to get out of your car, realizing you left your cell phone in the casino bathroom while you were hammered, and just thinking how utterly fucked you are?

To everyone else, thanks for the stoke!!!

    Damn goat. Heal that.

For sure sun effect at KW on the sunny slopes. Not surprised there. It is mid Feb.

The shaded slopes were great. Pow was deep. Landings were plush.

I broke my toe piece fucking around baby Kodak mid day, just before 4 popped. Had the opportunity to ski from there to the base on one ski while carrying the other. Finally got picked up by a snowmobile and got dropped off 20 feet from my car. Switched skis and got back out there.

Patroller who checked on me limping out of there said he had seen that happen to the toe of a P14 a few times, and that is why you buy the 18s. Time for me to man up.

Shouldn’t you be able to roll the window down and tunnel out? Even if you can’t budge the doors?

Decided to play with the Cougar again. Some real cold overnight temps and Lake Effect made for some unbelievable delight. Gimpy be slaying magic dragons. Choo Choo.

Assuming your car wasn’t in the landing zone of blower deposit and you have something more than a credit card with which to dig, yeah I guess so, but someone who passed out in their car the night before a 3’ dump probably isn’t as likely to arrive at that conclusion!

Thanks for yelling back to warn me of the cliff. The snow is good and deep, but Mex can’t and doesn’t huck. Gnarly.

Glad to see you later in the day getting a final run off the T Bar ridge (whatever it’s called).

Short vid from this weekend. First days ever using the gopro, so pardon some of the angles.

BC shots are from Sunday. All inbounds stuff I recorded is AFTER it got tracked SAT, SUN afternoon and yesterday showing how GOOD IT STAYED - even the chop had faceshots this weekend

Some comedic relief around a crash and broken pole in there too. What a weekend!

I called for you to follow us. Hope your run was good. Ours was. Vista to the chopping block. Which is less than five feet now. So much base.

If you see issues, flag them in the app. When 80 and 40 were closed a few weeks ago I noticed that Google Maps was routing people off the Summit via Soda Springs Road to Foresthill - that's a 40 mile dirt road that's barely passable in the summer (high clearance needed) and isn't plowed in the winter. I flagged it and now it's marked as closed.

Yeah, this has been a good year for weekend warriors (although the mid-week skiers have certainly gotten their days as well).

Heard about someone rescued from a treewell at Sugar Bowl on Sunday - fully inverted with just skis visible. Took 4 people to get him out. Be careful out there folks.

    Holy ColdSMOKES

Yep its been deep out there!

What amazed me most about the last storm -was that it just never seemed to let up. Still nuking all day on Sunday, and then even some light snowflakes yesterday. Thats nearly a full week of storm!

Some scenics from yesterday. Haven't edited the GaperPro footage yet. Winds were nuts early and then mellowed. Kicked on the cornice in the first photo and nothing happened, but then after we skied the adjacent slope we noticed that it slid sometime within the following 15-20 minutes. Not very consequential though.

Monday started by looking like maybe 6 wind affected inches. Turns out the northeast flow was scouring a lot of the usual lines...

...and depositing several feet on lines that are usually a scalloped mess of windlips. Multiple runs were one continuous faceshot - sometimes I had to deliberately bounce a turn so I could breathe!

Both my elbows are fucked from all the shoveling so I'm glad for a break. Might go get a minor line near home this afternoon that I've had my eye on for a long time but never gets enough snow. Meanwhile, get your spring touring gear in order, as it's going to be a long season.
