google maps is showing backroads to Easton (from either I-5N or 97N [to Yak skipping E'berg]) & then access to the Pass via the east...I'm guessing this isn't actually open per 90 closure mp34-mp106

    The latest from WA DOT

I-90 remains closed in both directions from mp 34 near North Bend to mp 106 near Ellensburg due to avalanche danger and avalanche control work. WB I-90 will remain closed all day. At 4 p.m. EB traffic will be metered at mp 34 near North Bend. Traffic will be released in groups of several hundred vehicles with reduced speeds and 15 minutes of separation between groups. Expect delays near mp 47. Limited access to the summit area and no ability to return westbound from the summit.
    Weather:
Snowing, drifting snow and avalanches and avalanche danger

This storm has been a wild one and we can't wait to get everyone out on the mountain to enjoy all this fresh snow! Once the road opens it's going to be a full-on powder party up here! All mountain operations remain on standby until the road opens. The latest update from WSDOT is shown below, they plan to reassess at 9am this morning. Good luck to all the crews working avalanche control and clearing the highway. Stay safe out there!

Alpental Valley Restrictions & Warning: Avalanche danger in the Alpental Valley region is very high and we expect to be conducting control work into today, possibly with the assistance of a helicopter. With very dangerous avalanche conditions, for your safety please stay out of the valley if you're not a resident heading directly to your home or condo. Do not travel uphill in the region or at the ski area (including Back Bowls, Mt. Snoqualmie, etc), stay out of the parking lots, and avoid driving, and especially walking, up the Alpental road.

Due to the extended road closure we have made the decision to remain closed for the day. We hope to reopen tomorrow, but it will depend on the road. Stay tuned for updates later tonight or Wednesday morning. It's still snowing hard up here, so those of you waiting for deep pow turns will be rewarded when the road opens
Move upside and let the man go through...

Considering the recommended route, it would be an epic.
It looks like they are directing traffic up and over Stampede Pass -

    You'd need the correct tires.

No ops today whatsoever. WB 90 likely going to be restricted to emergency services, critical employees (e.g. Bev), and residents w/ proof of residency.

Ops at Alpental are green-lighted for tomorrow

Heli control work on Mt. Snoqualmie getting underway right now

Drive safe tonight & tomorrow mags, it's gonna be one hell of a weekend!

WB is closed from the summit until at least tomorrow morning. There's a convoy leaving at noon to go west via the EB lanes. After that, they're gonna do one more round of control work and then get EB open from North Bend with cars going in waves spaced-out at 15 minute intervals. It will be slow - once you're up you will not be able to go down the west side this evening. Not sure what's going on with WB to the summit but it seems to be a "residents only w/ proof of residency" situation currently

I don’t understand the EB open only. That’s the steeper part of the pass and harder to control. Fucks sake. Any idea on opening time tomorrow morning or way to early to tell.?.

Someone should put you in charge. Clearly.

Can you also fly a helicopter... the guy they have there at the moment won't because it's too cloudy.
