Yeah, I've always loved that non tapered tip shape going back to my first encounter with Crows (Sevun). That (and the slightly less tip to tail taper) is why I opted for the fat BC's over GPO's.

2018-19 Praxis Skis Info and Resource Thread

That’s why I have been afraid of the GPO, but it seems like that ski also has smoother transition points, no dramatic taper point to get hung up on, that would need to be HEAVILY detuned

If I was smart, I’d have a 3 ski quiver and never worry about it. 189 UL Rx with light tech binders for longer tours, 189 Enduro Rx with Shifts for 50/50, and 189 Heavy Rx with Alpine binders for raging the resort..

Cheaper than what I normally do, worry and hassle free, and it would also make me a better skier.
Props were props are due. You could even do the Enduro with inserts and be done. They are Praxis so you don't even need rock skis. Quivers are over rated.

I personally like -1 to -1.5 on my 187s. But I am probably a bit large for 187s at 6'2"/170#. With 192s I'd probably go on the line.
Thanks for the offer. The closest I have to an alpine boot is my WTR - Lange XT 130 Freetours (296mm).

I'm going to admit defeat and bump my April ad (https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...97#post5318197) now that powder is about to strike.

I just enjoy my Qs, GPOs and my sadly departed (pre-asym) BGs a ton more. Maybe I'll visit @grinch this year and he'll school me on the art of Protests. We seem to like a lot of the same skis.

Got my 184 Piste Jib flex #3. Should go good with my OG BC 180 and GPO 187. Thinking Wardens on the PJ and Shifts on the GPOs. BCs have Barons.

The only trick I’d have is spew some bs then make sure we hit all the fresh. Good snow might be the only way to make my misinformation seem plausible
Good luck with sale though. You’ve got the fat ski segment well looked after, even without the protests

I thought that as well, then bought the 190's and could not be happier with that shape at my size. 6'0 and 185ish. Never wish they were any shorter or more nimble except on the switchbacks when super hair pinned.

What bindings are you going to use, and what is the actual, measured length?
