Worst songs by the best artists?

What song just seems terribly disappointing given how talented the musicians involved are?

For example, not even Nina Simone could save Pete Townshend's POS, "Fast Food"

I'm firmly in the "musicians are better on drugs" camp!

Aerosmith, Ozzy, Joe Walsh, Metallica...I could go on and on. But the ultimate proof: The Beatles - without drugs, they're New Kids on the Block- V1; start doing drugs - become (arguably) the greatest band ever.

Of course, there's that niggling problem of death by OD. Everything in excessive moderation, I guess.

The Beatles always did drugs. They did speed all the way through Hamburg, and beyond.

    Do Christmas songs count?
Because 'Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime' is possibly one of the worst things ever recorded.

Bullshit. Speed was awesome back then. It almost won the second world war for the Germans, and then the rest of the world found out, and it was neutralized as a weapon. Elvis was hooked when he went over to Germany in a tank unit. That's how his shit started. You do two or three black beauties and get back to me about how non adult you feel, mofo.

Calm down there Sonny Barger...sorry I talked shit about speed. That post reads like you took three of em.

But I don’t think anyone’s confusing the drugs associated with Revolver and St. Peppers with the speed taken to stay away singing Love Me Do to schoolgirls.

No. Hey, I like them a lot, but, this song was so godawful in the first place, what the fuck were they thinking when they recorded it?

You don't like Turn the Page?! GTFO of here.

Arcade Fire's last album was thoroughly disappointing.
The guy from the Black Keys's solo work.
Eric Clapton's cover of Little Wing. WTF happened there?
I wanna say Burning of the Midnight Lamp or something like that by Jimi Hendrix.
    No longer stuck.

Well, since there's absolutely no one that can perform Little Wing adequately, simply because it's LITTLE FUCKING WING <<<DRY HEAVES>>>> I'm willing to not hold it against Eric (not so with most of his bouncy little mid-career ditties, however).

You like Turn the Page? Jezuz, so godawful. Oh, you poor rock star and the horrible life on the road. They mock you at the local IHOP because of your haircut? Boo fucking hoo.

Dan Auerbach is doing some awesome stuff right now, so you shut yo mouth.

And Arcade Fire's entire output is dissapointing.
