Thanks for sharing. That's a lot of tracks. I cicked through a few of the youtubes last night on my phone. Some fun sounding stuff in there. I can see it being a soundtrack or something.

Is that all you on some sort of organ or synth or something or other instruments/players too?

Thank you. All the tracks were created using GarageBand. I played all of the "instruments" myself using three different types of keyboards. On most tracks I used my actual computer's QWERTY keyboard. I only recently added a two-octave CME Xkey and a four-octave M-Audio Key Studio. I played all of the "drum" parts with the exception of part of a couple of tracks, where I used some of the drum loops GarageBand provides.
I'm thrilled that you heard soundtracks when listening. That is exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks again.

    Trail Ride
This started as a drive toward rockabilly that shifted into sort of a “Western Twang” sound. I’m pretty happy and take pride in the guitar sounds I was able to achieve on a computer keyboard.
Instrumentation – Drums. Upright Bass, Clavinet, Guitars

Today’s Track from Soundtracks In Search Of A Film is definitely snow and ski related.

I hope to provide interesting background information about each track as well as get you interested in other tracks from the album Soundtracks In Search Of A Film.

    Zarameyuki Cycles

Zarameyuki is the Japanese word for “corn snow.” Corn snow is my second favorite type of snow to ski, with fresh powder being my favorite. For corn snow to develop there needs to be cycles of melting and freezing of snow which often occurs in the spring. This song goes through three sections or cycles representing the early morning freeze followed by a melt or thaw and then ends with a refreeze or setup in the evening.

Instrumentation – Synthesizers, Orchestral Kit, Harp, Marimbas, Orchestral Choir Voices, Upright Bass

Video game music is a popular outlet for these types of projects. Also, Presidents of The United States of America ended up doing porno movie soundtracks after sales of their hit album petered out..

This is one of my favorite tracks. It reminds me of being in sort of a rhythmic trance while hiking up to find snow patches to ski.

    Consecutive Catch
This track moves in circular motions and has the feel of being in the zone to throw and catch Gel boomerangs. This might also work well for a time-lapse piece.

The release on Spotify was taken care of by cdbaby. I went with their pro level release which also includes publishing, a UPC code, and more.

Willywhit, Thanks for sharing this. I love the guitar sound your buddy Stubbs has. The drum sticks on bongos is pretty cool too.

it reminds me of this scene in pulp fiction. the Music in twisted movie scenes really makes it. I'll put up some more relavant Stubbs stuff. He's a good buddy, tours with charlie musselwhite. Love that surf guitar sound sound. Dick Dake, The Centurians, etc
