Sorry, not related to the WC108, but I was wondering about people's experience with demo binding on the Deathwish. I'm probably gonna order a pair and I'm thinking about putting a demo binding on them to play with the mount point. Anyone have negative (or positive) experiences? Ie - does the added stiffness of a demo binding impact the feel of the ski noticeably? Thanks!

If you put a crappy demo on it, maybe.

I like my Deathwishes with tyrolia attack demos. I usually ski at -1, but sometimes push it forward.

You'd have to be in the top 1% of skiers to feel the difference between the tyrolia attack demo and retail version. Same with the Warden. They are basically the same, with an added toe track which doesn't impact flex.

Top 1%.... definitely not me! Hahaha.
If I do demos, it would probably be Attacks. Thanks!

I recently put some demo's on my old pair of Deathwish's to use for rock skis and if guests want to give the DW a try. I plan and fooling around with them to see if it makes much difference, my guess is no. My new pair are the third Deathwish I have had and all were mounted on the line. For me on the line seems perfect, I don't see how it could ski any better. Attachment 256006

I like how you think man! Got some Tour 108s coming and the plan is to mount them with inserts for Hagan Core 12s (same binding as the ATK Raider 12) and Shifts. Think it should be a pretty sweet setup for both resort and backcountry days that way!

That's awesome, son has the Meridians and he raves about them. I tried them and they are solid, wish I could justify having a pair. I have not skied the PB&J's, Deathwish are my everyday go to ski.

I dig the jester pro addiction you have. They are my favorite bindings. People think I’m crazy for preferring Jesters.

I’m in that camp. You cray. But whatevs. TGR is pretty big on “you do you.”

Many swear by p18s. I make clicking into those look about as graceful as a stork trying to take flight in a weight vest.

    STH, please.

    But, you know...

    You do you.

Ya my name is Keith and I like Jester Pros....

Especially like the Jester Pro’s metal bar on the toe piece for scraping off snow on your boot sole.

Plus I’ll admit that I like the fancy colours of the Pros. I bought a bunch a few years old from a local ski shop that couldn’t sell them. I’ve still got a bright red pair of last year’s Jester Pros at home waiting for some 4FRNT InThaynes to arrive.

I’ve had P18s but the JP’s heel move more. I mount to my boot so we can go +1cm for my wife (she’s 5’6” and 125 lbs and can rip all my skis) or back -1cm for my son’s boot. STH heels move too, but just always had Markers. I even like Dukes. Haha

Just bought those 187 Underworlds for $399 on skiburger. Hopefully they do well as a 1 ski PNW touring quiver. Hard to find solid reviews on the underworlds or deathwish tours

Underworlds / Deathwish Tours are great, skis very much like the regular DW. Being lighter they are not as good in chop or in heavy wet snow. I ski the regular Deathwish and love it, plenty wide for pow and TC lets them rail on all kinds of groomers. TC has no affect on how they handle the skin track, Black Diamond hook and clip on toe and tail.

Broke these bad boy DW's in today. Biggest ski I have ridden but the learning curve was quick. A lot of powder runs, but taxed my legs far less than my Cochise.

There’s a thread out there with quite a bit of info on the UWs - I think in an Exit World review. If I wasn’t on my phone I’d dig it up for you. Otherwise yeah, the rest of the interwebz is pretty devoid of info.
