Not a bad idea 1000-oaks on the Volkl Kiku. I like the 107 width underfoot. Would they have a similar flex pattern or be stiffer (for larger adults). He’s about 80lbs.

Nothing to offer besides advice; my kids have had good luck with the 4FRNT line of skis. They have some wider underfoot models and seem to be holding up well for them, though they are younger/lighter than yours. They also seem to have pretty good sales regularly so I've done well by scoping out what I would want ahead of time and pulling the trigger whenever they go on discount.

I'll have to check the flex on my GF's pair, but the shortest length is for small women. And being gradual full-rocker, they'd probably be fine even if a little stiff for his current weight.

Does an 80# kid really need a ski over 100 underfoot?

Does anyone really need over 100 underfoot? Probably not but it’s fun, surfy, with tons of float...

So my daughter is sprouting like a weed. Bought some new 155 SFB's and Marker Squire's at the end of the season. Will have to double check her height against them but might be willing to let them go for what I have into them ($340).

    Detrusor,
I couldn’t see those yle jrs on 4frnt’s site. I’m on my iPhone though and struggling with their site. I sent an email to them see what they had.

    Thanks

    Yes
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
