Anyhoo, I'm a hudge eBiking adherent. I started with one of them Kickstarter campaigns for the FlyKly, which worked until it died and they wouldn't support it. Then I got a Sondors fat tire bike offa another Kickstarter campaign, which I sold to a friend. I got a FLX Attack off yet another Kickstarter campaign that I still use for fun fast fire road riding. Since then I have made 2 mid-drive builds, one on a commuter using a Luna Cycle kit and another beach cruiser with a generic Bafang BBS02 motor. AMA and I will try to post more info and pics as I have the time.

If I was you, I'd modify this bike with the Luna kit, or if you're economizing, a DIY Bafang kit. If you're comfortable doing bike wrenching, the conversion is pretty easy, and cost is ~$350-450 or so for the motor and another ~$300-$400 for a good lithium battery pack/charger from a reputable seller. Mostly on eBay or Alibaba. Not cheap, but much less expensive and actually better/more powerful than most prebuilt stuff you would buy in a shop.

Dude, it's not that big a deal. eBikes are hella fun, though I do recognize they have their place, and that place is not necessarily in the BC. They're a great solution for city riding and commuting, and if using them makes us use our cars a whole lot less, what's the problem with that? Anyway, if you have a problem, please take it to the other emo thread.

I was in pretty amazing MTB territory (Finale Ligure) with a knee injury.
I didn't even know that E-bikes were a thing. Walked into a shop looking for a Xcountry bike and directions to easiest trails. LEft with an E-bike and had a blast.

Should put this in here . Only adds 9lbs. Doesn’t say but they have a cover in place of the motor/battery so it can be a regular bike with a huge storage where the motor/battery would be

Wrong thread, probably, but what about electric dirt/trail bikes? Seen the local LE riding them on occasion.
How do e bikes do in wet conditions?
An old friend had his e-bike go down in a blaze of glory a little over a year ago. It was a retrofit system on a xtra cycle. He’d used it on his daily commute bike for over a year. Something to do with the battery system and the battery mount getting unintentionally displaced. He was riding it at the time.

Ha! Just recalled that he very first time I tried wrenching was an attempt to make a tandem by joining two old bikes using a hack saw, a big hammer and a bunch of 1/4-20 hardware.
I've progressed some. I'll put that idea on the short list.
Suggest an ebike
Goal - ride an ebike 25 - 30 miles up hill on one charge
Surface - Rail to trail crushed stone
Route - Steady altitude gain of 3000'
The rider is your grand mother

Great. Now we get electric motorcycles on single track.

Damn man. Have you no sense of rebellious adventure? It's a time similar to when you could fly a plane by just getting in and going. A time before drivers licenses were needed. Embrace it. Next year may be too late. Cannonball Run time. I'm not being political at all. I'm dealing with reality.

KTM has been working on this for some time, they call it the Freestyle...

If the range was long enough I wouldn't hesitate to give this a try on the motor trails that I ride on my XC-W.
Regarding conversions...
I have a fat bike that is more or less useless in our heavy and wet snowpack without having pedal assist, the idea of adding a retrofit system has my curiosity piqued.
