Golf-centric bachelor party locations?
Hey nerds,
My younger brother is tying the knot this December, and being someone who makes more money than me, is an avid golfer. He has not suggested he wants to do anything in particular for his bachelor party, but I imagine he will enjoy a November golf outing as much as the next software salesman.
We'll be flying out of Boston and I'm trying to find:
1) Place where flights will be cheap
2) Fun town, esp. with good comedy clubs if possible since he likes that stuff
3) Good golfing
4) Would love to spend fewer moneys than more
Hilton Head, South Carolina came up as an option for me and also was thinking maybe New Orleans, which would be fun since that'd be a new town for me.

Myrtle Beach is pretty much Taylor Made for low-mid priced golf vacations.

I'd be thinking Vegas. Really good golf, reasonable flights, plenty of comedy. Only downside really is that it's....vegas.
It's the cheapest time to visit Bandon Dunes, but expensive flights and no comedy. Only upside is fkn fantastic golf.
New Orleans is always fun. I don't know that the golf is that great, but the rest would make up for it.
Part of the Robert Trent Jones trail in Alabama could be a blast, low on comedy other than the locals laughing at you. http://www.rtjgolf.com/trail/
Nashville or Atlanta could be fun too....Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Scottsdale. Boston or Manchester will likely be light on direct flights though. SWA= free bags.

It's gotta be Myrtle Beach. Good time of year for it too.
But Hilton Head sounds decent too, lots of golf and a good beach but I don't know anything about the town.
Ocean City Maryland wouldn't be bad in December, you'd probably get good rates and everythng's still open but much less crowded. Lots of golf around but you gotta drive a little bit. Tons of bars/restaurants/clubs/hotels.

Golf-centric bachelor party locations?
South Lake Tahoe. Always a good time.
St Paul / Minneapolis in my neck of the woods. Tons of courses, check. Comedy club, check. Major international airport, MSP, check.
Lots of golf and things to do if you stay in the Twin Cities metro area. Or head a few hours north for some top flight courses with the north woods feel.
Edit. Missed your November timeframe. SLT out. Early November in MN still has plenty of golf options pending upon the weather here. A gamble maybe, but unless there is snow that sticks, courses remain open.

It's been awhile but IIRC Myrtle Beach was $$ and Hilton Head was $$$$. The golf courses are superb though.

Bahamas... cheapcheapcheap if you know how to travel shop. This is a bachelor party, throw in a booze cruise and a shallow dive.
Might be tough on an EC golfer banging around on Bermuda Tee 2 green. Target golf...
Not unlike Myrtle Beach, where they can wedge 18 holes in to what feels like 18 Acres.
Lots of good tracs to be had. Co-mingle some rating systems to pick out a few good ones.
Probably the highest percentage of stripper joints per capita on the EC - last time I was there - they had Velcro Jumping... anyone?
Naked except for a few strips of Velcro. Hit the mini tramp and bounce up and get yourself stuck to the velcro wheel that is spinning slowly.
Great way to edgimikate about real tits vs fake tittys
Neither destination would be for the eclecticI am not in your hurry

i'd go to Hilton head, the number courses to choose from so close together and the off peak prices you can probably get would be worth it.

I’d avoid HH, courses are nice but I thought the town sucked.
I’d focus my efforts on the below?
- Vegas
- Austin
- Scottsdale
- LA/ SD/ PS
- Miami

Lots of cheap packages for lodging and gold in Myrtle Beach, especially in the off season (November).
