This is such sad news to hear.
    So sorry for this loss.
Ten years ago ski_faster showed me around Bogus Basin the first time I skied there. He even took me on a fun little sidecountry tour that involved skinning back up to the resort. Here are a couple photos of him from that day.

On that day he shared the joy of skiing with someone he had never met before. He certainly will be missed.

Yes. Joe was a solid dude. He guided up in the Sawtooths for awhile, rafted some gnarly stuff, and typically had an ear to ear grin. Thanks for the vibes. Shoot them to Joe’s wife. She lost her husband and my best friend to leukemia six years ago. I introduced Joe to her. Two husbands in six years...can’t imagine.

I’m not sure what lake or pretty much any other details. I’m waiting for the call to head down when they need help.

RIP to possibly the most aptly chosen screen name ever. Joe hauled ass, with a grin the hole time. Condolences to his wife and those whom he was close with.

RIP Joe, what a loss. He was instrumental in the planning of some rafting trips w put together in Central Idaho. His poor wife, that is brutal. Way to many good mags lost lately!
