Anyone ever paint their Pivot 14s before? Does the plastic din window on the toes pop out and back in easily?
I tried giving it a wee bit of pressure, but was worried I was going to break it so I backed off.
I powder coated some earlier this summer. Plastic the plastic part pops out. There's a little notch you can get a screwdriver in. For the back half of the binding to fully disassemble you need to drill out the rivets that hold onto the U shaped metal stand, then rebuild it out of 5mm steel rod. Bend it based on the old part, then instead of riveting it you can tap m4 threads on the end and use a nylock nuts. Make sure you paint it or powder coat it to keep it rust free. I masked off all of the internal faces and the din markings when I did mine. My compressor died on me so I haven't finished the other side yet, but I'd like to fix it up and get it done before the season kicks up. On assembly make sure to put grease on everything. I'm going to release test them again too once I'm done, but I never touched any of the mating surfaces or internal bits so I doubt powder coating had any effect.

Edit: I used pivot 15s not 14s. Not sure how the toe piece on the 14 comes apart, but I'm guessing it's somewhat similar.

Stumbled across these and wish we had these as an option in the US. Can order them and looks to be a similar price as new here. Tried inserting the image but not working for me.

Bummer. I actually described it wrong. You can't get to the screws if the heel is not up...and you can't get to the screws if your fingers take the cheese and are in the trap

It made sense as soon as I got my fingers out of the trap. Next time they get mounted on a 2x4.

Oh man, that’s definitely a rite of passage for mounting your own Pivots. You’re not cool until you’ve lost a fingernail. It got my thumbnail the first time I mounted them.

What does it say about me that I've only caught my finger in a pair of PX heels?

I've swapped countless pairs of dildo brakes, the key is not to put your finger in the glory hole.

I need some heels to complete a CAST setup, preferably black or orange. Without turntables ok, but if they are included, I need 115mm brakes. DIN not terribly important.

    SOLD

I have some FKS 155 I am going to move on--$150 shipped in the continental US. They are in good condition, there are scrapes, scratches, nicks and chips from use, but they are 100% functional and all screws are included. 75mm brake width.

Still looking for a pair of black heels.

Looking for two pairs of Pivots with GW or WTR AFDs. 100mm brakes ideally - could be smaller for one pair as they will go on a GS ski.

Have a line on a pair but need smaller brakes so if someone has a pair of 100mm brakes they can sell, hmu.

Prices shipped CONUS, shoot me a DM for more photos. All Alpine AFDs

Pivot 14s with 100mm brakes (snowbirds) $150 OBO. Good condition, normal cosmetic scratches. Missing one screw (see photo)

Currently mounted but happy to take off and ship:
FKS 12s with 120mm brakes (orange) $100 OBO. One FKS heel has a broken plastic baseplate (see photo) so replaced with an old Pivot 12 heel. Happy to throw in the extra P12 heel for a 5 piece set
These are on some 176cm RMU Professors (145-120-136) that are FS if anyone is interested

Pivot 10s with 90mm brakes (blue) $50 OBO. Someone tried to force 90mm brakes onto these old Anti Pistes and it sure didn't work. They've have barely been used as a result
K2 Anti Pistes also FS for cheap
