OFFER YOUR EXTRA FKS PARTS TO EVERYONE ELSE:
- Please hijack this thread to offer your parts (half-moons, AFD’s, brakes, the metal ring with arms, etc.) to help all maggots complete their full pairs.
UPDATE 9/2021: Look/Rossi has made it easy to buy parts at wholesale prices direct from them (USA).
From https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...55#post6418055 :
-------
ORIGINAL POST:
VITAMIN I’s SALE
By donation: Any money or metal Salomon bindings will support my upcoming Ski Lending Library & gear data website…or donate bacon, etc. UPDATE: I also need DVDs (or just video files) for ski movies "Immersion" & "There's Something About McConkey".
*** NOTE: NOT SURE IF SHOPS ARE WILLING TO MOUNT SOME OF THE OLDER MIXED-&-MATCHED PAIRS BELOW.
Priority given to buyers of a complete pair, but I encourage you to assemble your “custom” complete pair by mixing-&-matching any of my toes, heels, AFD’s, metal vs. plastic half-moons, etc. First come, first served for mixing-&-matching.
I will custom bend brakes to any width.
--------
Here's what's left after the pre-sale to previously-promised buyers:
1) SOLD to Norseman (plus more small parts) for $125 donation. (Starving students etc. should feel free to donate lower than that range.)
Silver&Black 14 heels, metal half-moons. Nicest old-style 15 metal toes with “not-strictly-compatible” new-style AFD’s
2) SOLD to Teenaged for a hookup-price donation.
Orange 14 heels, plastic half-moons, NOTE: LOOKS LIKE SHARPIED ORANGE-ISH SCRATCHES WILL TURN WHITE AGAIN AFTER MORE USAGE. Matching orange 14 plastic toes with extra-wide AFDs, NOTE: STRANGE COLOR FADING ON WINGS OF THE ORANGE TOE PIECE ON THE RIGHT IN PHOTO.
3) SOLD to Del_The_FH for $80 donation.
Gray-ish silver 14 heels TT9.0, plastic half-moons, NOTE: THE OLDER DESIGN WITH RUBBER PADS. NOTE: MISSING 1 PLASTIC FILLER PIECE WHERE ARM MEETS DILDO. DOES IT MATTER? Silver&black 14 plastic toes with extra-wide AFDs.
4) SOLD to nwslider for $100 donation. (Starving students etc. should feel free to donate lower than that range.)
DarkGray 12 heels TT8.0, plastic half-moons, NOTE: THE OLDER DESIGN WITH RUBBER PADS. Black 12 plastic toes with extra-wide AFDs. (I will re-bend that bent brake properly, or will replace that brake for buyer.)
5) SOLD to J_Berg for $75 donation.
Black&Gold 12 heels, UPDATE: new config of better parts (no longer includes outdated rubber pads), includes 2 good PLASTIC half-moons, buyer's who hate red tab on heel (pictured) may substitute white tab part instead (not pictured). Matching Black&Gold 12 plastic toes with choice between extra-wide teflon AFD's or wide slider AFDs. Buyer may choose higher DIN toes way down below, but colors won't match as well.
6) Non-FKS old Pivot14 (Rossi Scratch) matching set, with super-thin ~1.5mm rubbery shock-absorbing heel shims, toes have slider AFDs. Maroon& Blue.
7) Extra Pairs of Toes & AFD’s to Mix & Match above (all plastic toes are free, all AFD's free except extra-wide teflon ones)
- 7A: Minty old DIN=14 plastic toes: Rossi "FKS Course" w/narrow slider AFDs. Is this style called "Geze"?
- 7B: TOP ROW: DIN=14 plastic toe pairs
2ND ROW: DIN=12 plastic toe pairs
3RD ROW: AFD pairs for plastic toes (wide sliders, narrow sliders, narrow static pair that needs replacement teflon/delrin)
4TH ROW: Lifter/shim pairs for plastic toes (rigid ~9.5mm lift, thin semi-cushy shock absorber, rigid ~6mm lift)
- 7C: DIN=11 plastic toe pairs
- 7D: AFD pairs for UNKNOWN toes w/58mm wide teflon. Their only possible use is they might work for metal "ZR" toes (TBD)---if we prove they don't fit ZR, then I will throw in the garbage. (I already proved they have WAY too much vertical gap for new-style & old-style metal FKS toes, and won't interface well with plastic toes).
- 7E: SOLD to 1000-oaks (for $24 shipped + a donation)
Old-style DIN=15 metal toes, no AFD's included.
8) Extra Single FKS Toe & AFD’s parts (free, except metal toes & extra-wide teflon AFDs)

Long shot, but do you have any of the toe lifter kits (plates + screws)? Especially the longer screws for the 155?

I'm interested in the guts of a 155 toe, just the spring/spacers or whatever is in there basically. Or just an old 155 toe I can use for parts if you've got one.

I'd like to get in line for a complete set of solid 18's (or 15's if you have em) with 105mm+ brakes, plus a couple of half-moons... please.

Not sure yet. Definitely none came with any of my metal toes (DIN=18 & 15). So if I have any at all, they would have come with plastic toes (DIN=14 & 12), and might possibly be compatible with the metal 155 toes. I will verify inventory of all little parts & screws after I first give priority to buyers of complete sets.

Sweet. Your spot in line is reserved. At 9am you'll see you might have to mix & match weird stuff, like maybe Rossi DIN=14 heels (exact same as 15 heels except a 14 spring & 14 DIN-scale markings) and maybe Coreupt-branded or Dynastar-branded DIN=15 toes, or whatever.

I have a single DIN=18 toe if that helps, but all my 155 toes are paired up. ...But I guess we could end up splitting up a pair of 155 toes if it seems "best" for the community overall (like if another maggot also needs a single 155 toe to achieve something SICK, like to get a Volant Spatula back on the hill again, haha...or whatever).

I plan to be out in the mountains at 9am tomorrow.
How about you put together and set aside a solid-toe package that you're stoked on, and I'll get back to you in the evening (or Saturday if my shit goes long). I won't get picky, unless the stuff is beat beyond reason.
Thanks

I’m in the market for 1 complete heel piece. 18 preferred, brake size doesn’t matter.

Do you have any remains of your broken 14 heel? If yes, I might be able to provide little parts & instructions for you to fix it easily.
I'm out of extra half-moons, but I want maggots to keep posting their needs here. Like maybe we'll conclude that I should group-order 50 half-moons and be "the half-moon guy" for the community for a year or 2.

FS: FKS/Pivot Bindings: Used complete sets, and parts, mix-and-match
I’ll take 8A complete 18 toe my dude! Would solve a lot of my problems. Also 2 spare half moons if I’m not too late, 1x plastic heel rectangle thing, and 2x new style, wide 18 AFDs (or who can I buy these from?)
Thank you thank you for doing this!

The 8A toe is yours. That metal toe ain't free (because I could theoretically use it someday eventually), but it ain't expensive either---just make a low donation offer.
No half-moons available, but this thread is already up to 9 unfulfilled requests for half-moons...so maybe it will get high enough to warrant a group-buy?
"Plastic heel rectangle thing": Please help me understand which part you mean. Surely I have it. I will post photos of all my individual heel parts soon...which will help to communicate. Free + shipping for those parts.
New-Style DIN-18 AFDs: I have none, but ask TGR or just order from Look. I think I've seen ~CAD$24 per new pair? Not sure.

Damnit! I just found more hidden stash, including half-moons & extra-wide AFD's. Will offer upgraded parts to current buyers, and will upgrade the listings above, etc.
Also, haven't listed all my spare parts of heels yet.

Don't know if someone claimed them or not, but I'll get in line for: 7E: Old-style DIN=15 metal toes, no AFD's included.
Those toes in Norseman's pending deal are pretty damn nice, I'll get in line.
