So you’re saying I’d be better off bending the 75s than have the overhang with 95s?

    Now I’m not sure…

You most likely will not even need to bend them, but if you do it would be very minor.

A gentle pry and those will be perfect.
I used to rock unmodified skinny brakes on 89mm waist.

exactly, the pivot brake is easily 10-12% wider than they say. I have run 75mm up to 90 as well

How do you guys do this? This easy tweaking, little pry here.

I know you know Pivots like very few on the planet, but I'll never understand the little bend thing. I've bent a few pairs of Pivot brakes in my years (and consider myself really good at it) but I've never been able to tweak a set without pulling them apart. Advice on how to do the "gentle pry"? I've tried but it always feels like I am going to mess up some aspect of the base plate.

My 95 brakes *just* clear a 102 and I've got 75's on 78s that may go a hair wider.

Do you just need the heel assembly or the dildo as well? Somewhere upthread is the number for Rossi parts and service, which you can call to get heel assemblies in any size for $50.

Binding techs: what is the word on retrofitting an older P14 toe with a Gripwalk AFD? Yes or no go?

I called Rossi and was informed that part FCHF004 (see post #434 for parts list) would not work with the P14 toe because there would not be enough height between AFD and toe with a grip walk boot, and that there is no part that will do this.

Am I on my way to buying new bindings for the new boots?

Doesn't work, unfortunately. Though the dual Alpine/WTR version is GW compatible if that's what you have.

I could use a pair of heels (or even just dildos) if anybody is holding. 14/15/18 all fine.

Have two metal Pivot toes, one 15 and one "18". Both have the "old style" pedestal (with the two square cutouts on the underside), which I believe can also use the new-style AFD's

The "18" toe was originally a 15 but now has the guts from an 18, so you can't use the DIN setting scale (which I marked out with a black sharpie). To set the DIN on the converted toe, you'd have to have an original 18 toe and count the number of screw turns from when the white line appears in the setting window to your desired setting, and than crank the same number of turns on this "18" toe. Then if you want, have a shop test the setting and fine-tune the adjustment.

I can't ship until week of 12/13. Is $35 per toe shipped (to lower 48) reasonable?

I’ve held onto these for too long and would like to see them getting used back out in the wild.

FKS 18 with the Geze toes, small lift plates, and skinny brakes. Pulled off a set of DH race boards years ago. Not many runs and good shape. Make me an offer and add $15 for USPS flat rate shipping.
