I know this is the wrong thread but didn't want to create a new thread just for this and couldn't find it in the search function. Do I have this correct?

Pivot 12/14 - more plastic. Same binding besides the din

Pivot 15/18 - metal. Same binding besides the din. 15 isn't currently being made but there's talk about them being made again

Rossi fks is same as pivot but aren't made anymore

have old fks 155, need some 95mm brakes (or arms), looking for a reasonable solution. Trade/buy your <100? buy/trade arms only? I have had success bending arms before but only with Salomon. These are old and I don't want to break them. If you are confident you can bend them I could send you $ or something. TIA

Anyone got a metal half-moon they can throw in the mail? After years of helping out everyone I know with spare parts, I'm running out of spare parts.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I feel like being slightly ahead is not going to be the worst thing on that ski, but I wouldn't bother to stray too far off the line. The problem I had with the 35m GS skis was that the tail was so stiff, it was very difficult to drive across the fall line. Like the last 1/4 of the turn they just wanted to go straight, and I never got proficient enough at stivoting to make it happen up front. It was a lot like jumping back on a 215 straight ski, I kept donkey kicking out because I couldn't get enough weight on the front of the downhill ski at the top of the turn to get it to engage and get the direction I needed. Making the tail shorter would seem likely to compound that, because you've got that much more to get locked in up front. Granted, I skied them about eight runs before I collapsed in agony, but on actual hardpack (bulletproof) they were really solid, but on softer groomers they were... a handful.

Back when FIS legal was >21m, I couldn't get enough of race stock GS skis. I was running Atomic and then Stockli, which were both on the soft side of the WC stuff, and they just crushed it for me. But the >27m skis were a little too much work to ski cleanly in a beer league race, and the >35m's were just exhausting. I think the biggest thing for me was that they were so stiff and straight that you really had to be at 100% at every part of every turn, and I just got cooked halfway down the run. Felt like I couldn't get the middle of the ski to hook up once I got tired, and I know it's because I wasn't flexing the ski enough to get the sidecut engaged, which is not typically my issue.

Jesus, I'm blathering about race skis in the middle of the night. It's going to be a long summer. Just mount em up and go scare yourself.

Looking for a set of heels for a Cast second ski setup. 14/15/18 all fine, gray would be ideal aesthetically but I'm not too picky. 115 brakes please. Whatcha got?

Would also buy a full set of 15s or 18s for the right price but I don't strictly need the toes.

Also still looking for a pair of 14/15/18 heels, or complete 15/18s if anyone is holding.

Anyone have a pair of PX15 heels, or know if the pivots are the same mount pattern?

PX and Pivots don’t share a heel pattern, unfortunately. See here: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...aper-Templates
