If you had G as your road captain today you would have gained another 230points, and a 1095 total for the stage. Top score in the world today was 1189.
That extra 230 points would have put you in the TGR lead by 9 points.

Thanks for rubbing it in! To add salt to my wounds, I had intentions of making Geraint my captain, but went to a concert last night and then forgot about it.

I went to bed and Mrs Hubbs asks me “have you made your TDF picks?”

Sounds like Nibali went to the major hospital, transported in an ambulance for x-rays on his back. Suspected fractured vertebrate. The team is doubtful that he will be able to start tomorrow.

Nibali was my gun! At least I have a lot of $$ to spend on the next race day. (And still have 2 other riders out, fawk)

You can still make him captain for tomorrow's stage.

I went to work and all was well...Ouch! What a day.

Having a replacement available I subbed in Dupont. In spite of losing Gogo, a nice jump in standings today.

Congratulations Garth, you'll wear the yellow jersey for a few days. The pressure of the yellow jersey since Stage 1 has been tough on me.

Yup. Dee Hubbs in yellow by 1 point.

What are your thoughts for tomorrow’s stage? Climber or breakaway?

Tomorrow sets up for a breakaway by a few riders 20+ minutes off the GC leader

They must have recalculated the points after I initially looked because you were one point ahead of me.

Hoping to see a good breakaway win tomorrow. Maybe a first timer again? This is the same stage, with a real punchy finish, that Steve O got his his first ever TdF stage win, on Nelson Mandela day, for Qhubeka, and African team. That was a special one for sure.

Spanky, put your money on Bardet for tomorrow, he has been close to winning this one before.

I’m sticking with Geraint. I don’t think Sky will let Bardet break away.

I agree with Spanky, the Sky train's not going to let Bardet get away at this point and they won't let him win even by a second because that's how they roll. What about Izaguirre? This is more of a puncher's stage, wouldn't that fit him? Plus he's 38 minutes back so no threat to the yellow jersey.

Is GVA rested enough to take a run at it again? Its a punchy stage that someone like Thomas De Gent or Philipe Gilbert. Or even someone like Julian Alaphilippe, I can see him going out front for the KOM points and trying to solo from there?

Was thinking along the same line but after stage 10 it's hard to believe he's got much left in the tank.
