Sounds like Nibali went to the major hospital, transported in an ambulance for x-rays on his back. Suspected fractured vertebrate. The team is doubtful that he will be able to start tomorrow.

I went to work and all was well...Ouch! What a day.
Having a replacement available I subbed in Dupont. In spite of losing Gogo, a nice jump in standings today. The sad truth is that whine does not age well

Congratulations Garth, you'll wear the yellow jersey for a few days. The pressure of the yellow jersey since Stage 1 has been tough on me.

Tomorrow sets up for a breakaway by a few riders 20+ minutes off the GC leader
Sagan is a goddam stud

They must have recalculated the points after I initially looked because you were one point ahead of me.
Hoping to see a good breakaway win tomorrow. Maybe a first timer again? This is the same stage, with a real punchy finish, that Steve O got his his first ever TdF stage win, on Nelson Mandela day, for Qhubeka, and African team. That was a special one for sure.
Spanky, put your money on Bardet for tomorrow, he has been close to winning this one before.

I agree with Spanky, the Sky train's not going to let Bardet get away at this point and they won't let him win even by a second because that's how they roll. What about Izaguirre? This is more of a puncher's stage, wouldn't that fit him? Plus he's 38 minutes back so no threat to the yellow jersey.

Is GVA rested enough to take a run at it again? Its a punchy stage that someone like Thomas De Gent or Philipe Gilbert. Or even someone like Julian Alaphilippe, I can see him going out front for the KOM points and trying to solo from there?

Rafal maijka in a breakaway

I almost picked him on my team before the tour started. Lucky I didn't as he has looked off form all tour. I hoped that Sagan was going to shepherd him on the Roubaix stage to gain some time on the GC boys. He was with Sagan at the intermediate sprint but then couldn't hold the pace in the second half of the race.
He didn't make the breakaway group this morning and will come in behind the the GC boys today.

So the strategy going forward is pretty simple...pure mountain stages/ITT=Sky. Anything else=Sagan.

When I saw Sagan enter the finish line TV shot, rounding the corner solo for 4th, I was blown away. He is unreal.

Anyone think G will have a bad day between here & Paris?
He’s riding very well, but
I’ve become so cynical...I can’t help but think there’s a script in place that will drop him and slide Froome into first
