I've been doing some studying on riders who are peaking, and went back to look at my picks. I've made some shifts this morning, and I think I'm ready with team EveryonePlaysOpenly!
I'm hoping my sprinter and climber points get me past everyone else's GC (aka Froome) points.

Yeah, I didn’t take Froome due to the cobble history and his recent Giro. I did swap out Kittel and Greipel for another “well known” sprinter.

I'm in.. will pick a team when I get home this afternoon. Haven't watched much this spring aside from paris-roubaix, so will be a bit of a crap shoot.

well shit, guess the ASO got velogames.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to a recent legal claim, entries into the current Fantasy Grand Tour game are currently suspended until further notice.

It is fair to say I am absolutely gutted about this turn of events, but do not want to comment further until the situation progresses.

At present it is looking unlikely that the current Fantasy Grand Tour game will go ahead as planned.

Many apologies for this news, but it is for the best for my family and finances.

    Yours in fantasy cycling, George

    Maybe this is the reason...

    https://www.letour.fr/en/news/2018/t...y-game/1268629

Do we go to that site or should we boycott it?

Well that's annoying...I like the velogames setup.

Tried the TdF site, same team name, mostly the same riders. Velogames is easier to use for setting up a team.

OK... it seems like there's a back door. First, if you haven't logged in, log in via the Giro Rosa "site"...

    https://www.velogames.com/giro-rosa/2018/

It uses the same "velogames" login info.

Once logged in, navigate to our league...

    https://www.velogames.com/tour-de-fr...ague=739536811

It appears I can modify my team and all other league members are still there. I'm not sure if new people can join though.

At the least, this allows you to capture your current selections if we defect to the TdF site. Of which, I'm kind of resistant to using that site on principle.

Edit: Not sure if there will be any scoring captured if the site isn't public.

sort of annoyed by the heavy handed shutdown of velogames two days prior to the race...but I signed in to the TdF site just to see what it's about

it's free, and, other than the road captain business, seems alright

not sure what our alternatives are at this point...can't guarantee spanky's link workaround will show points accumulating

2018 TDF Fantasy League (Spoiler Alert)

Eurosport offers fantasy cycling. I don’t know how good it is...

    https://fantasy-cycling.eurosport.com

OK, I created a TGR Maggots league:

    https://fantasy-cycling.eurosport.co.../join/ENAMACHD

You’re not limited on a points budget, but you are restricted to only selecting riders based on their category.

Damn...this sucks. Guess we'll see what happens.

Edit: I'm in on the Eurosport league, thanks for setting it up Spanky.

I don’t have a team or anything. But I am very stoked for this edition. Some really cool stages this year.

le tour's fantasy system seems more like the velogames setup

league started just cuz why not:
    league #: 4310
    league name: TGR Maggots
    password: AVZQF

    LINK: https://fantasy.letour.fr/?parrain=5...password=AVZQF

the eurosport one is limited by the rider classification/skill (ie, your sprinter 2 is not coming from the lesser of the lead ranks), so maybe not as engaging when the scrubs are even less likely to garner points...i joined spanky's too just cuz

ACinpdx- joined your Le Tour league, because exactly- why not. i went to the trouble of selecting a team on velo games, so i might as well see that effort put to good use.

I’ll reluctantly join the “official” league as well.

Keep in mind there is also the NBC Sports site too. We used to use that one.

I’m indifferent, we just need the best velogames alternative and get the most people signed up in a league.
