Near Telluride, there's almost nothing. Went last week near Alta Lakes where snow hides in North-facing chutes (last year on same day was amazing), and found 99% dirt. Going to head to Imogene Pass next week and make some turns just for the hell of it, but that's even pushing it. The Jeep road makes it all worthwhile though.

My bad, thank you! I wonder what the more obscure peaks are holding on the north faces like N arapahoe, elk tooth, ogalalla, etc. I'll try to get back there in a couple days to take a peak.

I'll throw a few recent pics on here as well, from 7/17... Most are confirming what's closed out. But Jasper and its southeast ridge ok, and relatively accessible (closer than Neva/Dorothy I think?)
Jasper Gaiter/Snow Leopard/Lion - first two corniced at top, Lion is gone
Decent patch on southeast ridge down from Jasper "peak"
Jasper northeast flank... GONE
Skywalker... GONE
Now debating Neva vs Skyscraper next. I assume Toll is done and Navajo has melted half way up. Anyone been up around there recently?

Recently moved to Bethel, Maine from Montana and trying to come up with a plan for September turns so I can keep my monthly streak alive, at least for now.
I'll be traveling with the girlfriend, so gnarly-steep is not a desirable feature, and I'm lazy, so I'd like to minimize the amount of carrying of ski boots.
Initial research suggests that St. Mary's Glacier might be the best bet to combine ease of access (non-stop flights are available from BOS to DEN), the approach isn't bad at all for September, but that it's not going to be a whole lot of turns.
The whole idea is somewhere between crazy and silly, and it pretty much has to be a long-weekend operation to work from a work-schedule standpoint (current plan is fly out Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend, fly back late Monday/early Tuesday on a redeye to be home and able to work Tuesday). We're hoping to get turns one day and visit Sand Dunes national park the next (yes, we're probably going to be doing a lot of driving).
Anyone have a recent report, or a better suggestion?

If you are considering September turns in Colorado and you plan to visit Great Sand Dunes NP, you should consider skiing there. As odd as skiing the dunes may sound, it will almost certainly be better than the sun cups on St Mary’s. I imagine that you will be able to find some disposable gear on Denver’s craigslist or at local thrift stores.

If I was looking for September turns I think that I'd be headed to WA or OR. Something with a glacier. St Mary's was viable when I was in college 20 something years ago but now it is pretty small and I definitely wouldn't travel across the country for it.
