Thread: Beartooth Pass conditions?

Damn I wish we all had the same dates. Sigh.
Really cool you can buy tickets in advance now. I bought a Monday June 8th and 10th. Daughter has been watching ski flicks all week. If it works out sweet, if not I can think of worst things to donate a sliver of cash.
Wife put together a meal list/dry and dehydrated food that we always keep on hand and some fresh ready for our good cooler...all in house ready to roll.
I really hope there is no cell coverage at our campsite. I need a break from the real world.

Beartooth Pass conditions?
Here’s a few photos from last weekend’s session at the pass.
We had a couple great days of skiing car laps combined with skinning and bootpacking.
I’m stoked that I got to make turns with USDAtele finally. Also pictured is Nest and Mrs. Nest.
Camping was busy! But there’s incredible spots down off Rock Creek. Enjoy the snow while it lasts!

Had a great time hanging out with Leftyt lapping the lifts past couple days. Fun little ski area, has a nice pitch and a festive vibe. Really cool operation. The snow was perfect, like buttah! Also drove over to East Rosebud looking for fish one afternoon. Beartooths are just awesome. Really glad I made the trip.

Hell yeah! That looks awesome. Heading out in the morning with two ten year olds (dog and daughter).

If all goes well with the weather, will be visiting tomorrow with the lady to ski for a day. Fingers crossed, since we are coming from the Cooke city side!

Getting mentally ready for this trip. Plan is to leave Tuesday night, get there and ride Wednesday and leave Friday. I emailed them about camping at their parking lot. Seems easiest but maybe I’ll decide to drive down the pass...
What stores are there for food, gas, firewood, etc? I’ll be coming from Montana side. I’ll pack snacks as much as possible but would be nice to get some hot meal.

I’m hoping to be there tomorrow and Friday. My plan to be there today was stopped by a moose on I-90 last night.

Woah! Glad you're ok, sad for Ms Moose. Didn't roll the car!

dang - bad deal.
how is the passenger side of your car ?
( twenty years ago, we had a deer run into the side of the car and spin into the rear door and the rear quarter panel...
$2000. in damage.
the deer got up and ran away.
looks like a fatal head shot to the windshield - likely at 70mph -
' Glad you're okay --
If the moose comes across the hood and through the windshield...
there are no promises--
ugh. skiJ

I usually camped on the plateau at various camp sites/down a dirt road etc. Lilly Lake was one of our favorite ones.

the small lot across the street from vista point is a good spot for a teardrop camper, if you wanna camp up high on the road, or right at the gardiner headwall
